I found this entire series to be a valuable resource on performing and understanding mentalism. If you want a great place to start with someone who knows his stuff in the area of mentalism this series is for you. The Spoon benind and Change of mind are some of my favorites from this DVD. Bill to cigarette is awsome however I rarely have occasion to use it anymore not that this is a bad thing. This is a great resourrce as are all the DVD's in this series by Osterland.

Make sure you buy all four of these DVDs! But if you do just go for this one then you won't be disappointed because this DVD contains a great variety of effects. Change of Mind is a very, very good trick and it fooled me completely when I watched the performance. Richard goes over some valuable tips for the swami writer too which is a great addition.

I recommend this dvd as it has a lot of creative uses for swami gimmick - I use the super sharpie and it works great with all these tricks.

Osterlind's Mind Mysteries DVD set is a fantastic set of mentalism DVDs. Some of my favorite effects in volume 3 include:

1. Sweeter and Lower
I wouldn't really consider this a mentalism routine, but this is a great magic routine. The spectator signs a sugar packet. The magician tears open the packet and pours out the contents. He then restores everything back to normal (including the sugar back into the packet) and hands the signed packet back to the spectator. This is not difficult to perform. and is a very strong piece of magic.

2. Radio Sum Total
This is perhaps my favorite routine in the set. A stack of numbers are displayed. The audience then yells random digits until a list of random digits is generated. The stack of numbers that have been on display are added together and equal the random number that was generated from the audience. The audience has a free choice of the numbers, and the numbers on display really do add up to the generated number.
