The Mirage is one of Dani DaOrtiz's favourite routines. It is a special deck of cards that combines elements of Hofzinser's Transformation Pack and Robert-Houdin's Protean Pack. It enables the performer to transform a deck of fifty-two different cards into a deck that is all alike. Not just once, but twice.

In addition to the special deck you receive DVD instructions with Dani DaOrtiz performing and explaining his favourite routine with The Mirage deck. Three aces reveal the identities of two chosen cards. They magically transform into the first card and then the entire deck follows. Every card is identical.

This is repeated with the second selection. First the aces transform and then the deck. Finally the deck changes back into fifty-two different cards.?Includes DVD featuring Dani DaOrtiz plus the specially printed deck.

This is a gorgeous routine. It's a great example of infusing drama and tension into an effect, and letting audiences construct the story in their own heads to build up anticipation. For those who don't know, Dani's magic is all about seeming casual and laid back, and making even difficult moves seem natural and unemphasized. As a result, while this is not the most knuckle-busting routine out there, it is very difficult. You need to have your sleights completely committed to muscle memory so that you can relax and focus on your presentation. If you put in the time, you'll have a miracle that seems to happen almost without your intervention.

The trick is not easy to learn, it will take practice but if you put your time into it, it is a very very good trick. Dani just keeps to amaze me.

I'll admit, I was a little hesitant about purchasing this trick due to the name "The Mirage", as I am not a big fan of the Svengali Deck OR the Mirage Deck, personally. This is simply not the case with Dani DaOrtiz's, "The Mirage".
Though the explanation is a bit difficult to master, IT IS worth your time to learn and your spectator/spectators will go nuts. I LOVE this trick!!
