Honestly, I don't love the effect that you're "supposed" to do with this deck. It's a fooler, but I never liked the "names" stuff. It felt too odd to me. However, with these blanks, I was able to construct a deck that lets me perform a modified version of Trilogy, and it's easily one of my favorite and most effective routines that I do.

Thanks to the fact that the cards are not pre-printed on the back, you have the freedom to turn this into whatever sort of themed effect you'd like. And even if you did want to perform the "Phil" effect as-is, the fact that you need to write in the names yourself, rather than have them pre-printed, you can choose the names you prefer, so it looks less like a "trick" deck, since it's got YOUR handwriting on it.
