All the tricks you normally perform with the thumb tip (normal size), but on a larger scale. It allows a silk three times larger than the usual ones.

Manufacturer Says

The Vernet's finger tips are the most useful props in the world of magic. These fingers are so natural that they can be compared to an orthopedic appliance.

The characteristics that make them unique:

  1. They are an exact copy of human fingers and defy detection.
  2. Made of semi-flexible unbreakable material
  3. All the fingers come one color tone: pale flesh.
  4. The fingers can be adapted to the hand by simply dipping the thumb tip into hot water. Once the thumb tip is soft it will take any shape you wish. Then dip in cold water to harden it again.

I happen to love this thumb tip. My ring finger is size 9, and my hands are fairly normal size, maybe a bit longer than some (not much longer if any though) and this TT fits PERFECTLY on my hand. Great for bill switch, hiding LARGE napkins and silks. I used my first king tip every day for 6 months and it finally got a little tear , but im sure thats only from being flexed in my pocket over a six month time period.
If you have fingers large in diameter (not long, but bigger round) then dont buy this thinking "King Size" is for that size finger, you need the extra large TT.
This one, King Size, is only LONGER!

TT Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on November 13th, 2004
I know of the worries that people have about this gimmick because of its simplicity, but really it wouldn't matter if it were flashing. The gimmick is only detectable after telling the audience where to look. There is really no need to worry that it would ever be spotted. The length of this thumb is:
|<---------------------------->| (6.5cm / 2.5")

And it's diameter:

|<--------->| (2cm / 0.875")

If you are really worried about a thumbtip being noticed, you should be a light-coloured silk to accompany the TT, because it is ever so slightly transparent. You will really fool everyone with this gimmick.

I think this thumb fits my hand very well, so I will give a measurement for my hand for those who have never bought a TT before to make a comparison:

Thumb - 7cm x 1.5cm (2.75" x 0.5")
Hand - 20.5cm x 11 cm (8.25" x 4.5")

(Sorry it's so long!)

Hope this has helped someone.

this should be everyones second TT Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on September 9th, 2021
everyone's first TT should be a standard classic (hard) vernet. this king size version should be everyone's second TT. i've had many different TT's over the years, hard, soft, realistic, orange, etc... but the vernets are the go-to for a reason.

the king size is not the "big and large" version. it's the standard fit of the classic TT but with more room to load. so you can fit larger items in like more comfortably like silk streamers, larger diamond cut silks, etc., for more impressive and impossible displays.

Same Diameter More Capacity Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on June 10th, 2016
This is not the "big and tall" version of he TT---it is the same fit as the regular size, but longer---so the load capacity is perfect for an 18" diamond silk, salt vanishes, etc. I still prefer the shorter TT for bill switches, but this guy is what I use for all other applications. One modification I do with these is to sand the edges of the opening with xtra fine sandpaper---just to clean them up a little and remove sharp edges. One of the least expensive and most useful utility devices you can own!

A word to the wise Report this review

Listen, for everybody complaining about this TT please take notice.... it doesn't matter what color a thumb tip is, because if you know how to use it, the spectator will never see it. I have black skin, and I've used TT made for people with white skin, and they've never noticed.

Also, I've been doing magic for 19 years. I know how to handle the prop. Some people complaining have only been doing magic for 6 or so months. I didn't give it 5 stars because I reserve 5 stars for only the best effects there is. My standard is alot higher, but this is a damn good TT.

I've used thimbles before as TT. If you don't believe me, check out my website and see if the advice I'm giving is coming from nowhere. I suggest buy it.

Big thumb tip Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 3rd, 2010
This is a big thumb tip and if your looking to vanish something bigger than average this is the one for you. If you have medium or smaller hands you may want to look at other options. I have medium large hands and if it were any bigger it would slid down to far and may be difficult to handle. It is however a very good TT for me.

This is the tip to buy, I bought a classic tip and didnt like it at all. This tip can comfortably fit silks, small coins, a surprising amount of salt, and a cigarette. If you're looking for a great thumb tip, then buy this, you'll be happy you did.

Five Star! Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on January 10th, 2023
A good finger is quite roomy. But I had to sand the inside a little. (there were small burrs that clung to the silk and could ruin it). But this is not a problem at all. Sometimes you have to modify the props to suit your preferences. I recommend this finger.
