The Effect
You show someone a batch of twenty cards... all different.

You give her ten of the cards to hold. You now have her just think of one of the remaining ten cards. She never says a word. No one except her knows what card she�s thinking of.

These ten cards are counted again. Strangely... there are now only nine. The one card she�d been thinking of has vanished! She�s still only thinking of her card... it�s never been named out loud!

She counts the other ten cards she�s been holding... ten cards you haven't touched since the beginning. But now she has eleven cards! The strange traveler has arrived... her thought-of card is now staring her in the face!

Strange Travelers is a streamlined version of a classic effect that was Nate Leipzig's favorite over 75 years ago. Other variations have come and gone. David re-discovered this hidden gem, and the rest is history.

This is a killer with one exception you can not pass out the cards at the end. Once you learn to get around that small issue you have a complete miracle to work with. Faces will hit the ground on this one. Easy to do with a bit of practice and you can do it anywhere. Did this review help you?

When I was looking at this effect from Paul Harris, I knew it was going to be good. Paul Harris's handling is silky smooth compared to some other card transpositions I have seen. Only downside to this effect is that the non gimmicked cards that come with it are not all that smooth that you would expect from bicycle brand cards. But that's the only thing that I frowned upon but that is an easy fix because you can substitute those cards with your own from a different deck. Overall, love this effect. Everyone I have performed this to has been floored....every time. :) Did this review help you?

The plot behind this trick is great and the overall effect is outstanding, what's really great about this effect though is just how good the gimmicks are. Usually I'm let down by poorly designed gimmicks but fortunately that isn't the case here- the gimmick is so well made that sometimes it even fools me. A great effect and a gimmick you can have confidence in- what more could you want? Did this review help you?

But I prefer that Naked Strange from the True Astonishments DVD Set but overall this effect is really cool and gets some great reactions and the teaching is good and clear and you'll know exactly what to do after you've read through the manual or watched the video. Also I bought this from Ellusionst when I first started magic. Did this review help you?
