Not a dribble pass Report this review

I usually like Luke's stuff, but this is a pass followed by a dribble. In a real dribble pass, the dribble occurs before during and after the packet switch.

I got this for one purpose and one purpose only: to learn the famous cavorting aces quickly and easily, and this did it. You can work out other ways to perform it, but this gives you the basics of it. Overall, i am very happy with it!

The dribble pass is a great move, but in this download the dribble pass is rushed. In order for you to learn the dribble pass, you should really know how to do a classic pass first.

Great move, Poor video Report this review

He is rushed, and it is not explained nearly as well as it could be. Still, once you get "it", it is magic.

Very brief Report this review

I'm a fan of Luke's work, but this download really made me write this review. I would be lying to say that this is a good download. Luke got through the pass really quickly without detail and I basically got nothing out of this video except for a new grip, which doesn't help all that much. And, for it's price, the Carvorting Aces isn't even taught. All in all, this 10 minute download isn't the greatest for learning the dribble pass.

Disappointing Report this review

I really like most of what I've seen from Luke Jermay. But this video feels really thrown together. It moves quick and there's close to no detail. I've been using a pass in performances for quite a while now, but I got this video because I'm always looking to make better what I already know, and I like Luke Jermay's work. This video didn't do anything for me though. He goes over a new grip but he moves so quick and leaves so many questions unanswered it makes it hard to know if you're doing it right when you try to practice it, which means you will most likely end up developing bad habits that will show up in your performances. Sorry to say, but I give this one a thumbs down. Jermay's pass looks great, but he barely even teaches it and leaves too many questions unanswered. No close-ups, and no tips. Just a quick explanation that leaves a lot of guesswork on your part.

This is the best pass you can perform... It really is angle proof once you get it down...

Yeah, the teaching is kinda fast and he assumes you already know a classic pass... It may be a little frustrating, but you can still learn how to do it from this video... I couldnt do a pass to save my life until this ID...

And as for the not teaching of the trick at the end, all you have to do is learn the pass and watch him perform it... Everyone else that bashes this video is just retarded... Not everything can be handed to you on a silver platter... If your not willing to practice then you dont deserve to call yoursef a magician...

All in all, its more than worth the frustration to learn this move..

This ID is for people who already know how to do the CLASSIC pass, it wont teach you the classic pass, only the dribble pass: a way of making the classic pass invisible.

Could be better Report this review

First of all, this is not a true "thumbs down", but that's definitively not a "thumbs up", so I had to choose the other option.

Concerning the pass, I already own "Ninja 1" (which I do NOT recommend) and "Pass with Care" (which I highly recommend !). I bought this ID to share new thoughts on the pass, and to perfect my way of doing it.

My main problem was the teaching, Luke doesn't take all the time that would be necessary to teach such a difficult sleight, and the pass isn't slowly shown from all the key angles. Sometimes I also found it hard to understand what he was talking about, but as I'm french I'm sure I'll get it if I watch it again. To sum up :

Pros :
- the only pass I know of that is "angle-proof" (if done correctly).
- not too expensive, so if you're curious about the pass, you can take a shot with this ID

Cons :
- Luke goes pretty fast on the teaching (you'll have to watch it in slow motion at some points)
- the trick in the end is only shown, you have to understand how it's done 0_0

All in all, the pass is a very versatile sleight, but not easy to master, so I'm not sure a 10 minutes instant download would be the best way to learn it ?
