The Effect
A cigarette slowly floats out of its pack and into your mouth. Suddenly the pack changes into a box of matches. The drawer slides open by itself and one of the matches floats out, STRIKES ITSELF, then floats up and lights the cigarette!

The burning match floats back down and pushes the matchbox drawer closed, then floats into your hand. You smile, blow out the match, and take a bow!

The Animated Cigarette can be performed as close as six feet from your audience! And there are NO THREADS or body hook-ups.

Self Lighting Cigarette

I have to say that when I learned the secret to this I was quite disappointed. John Kennedy has some good stuff out there but this isn't it. The set up is pretty tedious and it's going to take a lot of practice. If you do stage stuff then you might get away with it but it's not for the close up magician. Did this review help you?

I was blown away by the demo but when I received the gimmicks I was disappointed to say the least. It's inpractical and wouldn't work in the real world. If you want to do a 'trick to camera' trick then I could perhaps reccommend it, but not for real world performances. Did this review help you?

i bought this 3-4 years ago from penguin cuz i liked the video. i thought it could be done semi close up but the only way it works is on a stage from a distance. i've bought over 100 penguin tricks and am mostly satisfied but this was very misleading. by the way it was way more money when i got it, save your money Did this review help you?

one of the worst tricks ever created...the price on this is way too high and you will probably never feel comfortable performing this trick....basically a waste of time and money i don't recommend this product at all i wish i could give it 0 stars...i dont even know how its possible for this to sell out....sorry penguin you guys are great but this trick is just terrible Did this review help you?

I got Animated Self Lighting Cigarette by John Kennedy a year ago. I was nervious at first to do it on stage, so I thought I'd do it. It took me a week to master it. I even came up with a way to perform it outside in the day light. I performed Animated Self Lighting Cigarette on March 6, 2005 @ the Eagle in Fall River MA.
