I really enjoy performing this effect because it gets great reactions but for spectators to examine the deck you may need to do a deck switch.
The reason I rated it 4 stars is that 1)You need a deck switch for the deck to be examined 2)Most of the time it works fine but sometimes it rises slowly and you'll have to shake the deck for it to rise but i still highly reccomend it.

DON'T DO IT! LOL!
I don't like this effect too much, but let me explain to you why. First of all, it's a much too gimmicky effect. What I mean is that the trick, making a card rise out of a deck with only the use of your mind, your magic powers, whatever, is a STRONG effect on your audiences. If this were truly possible, it would freak people out. What's bad about STRONG illusions like this is that the gimmick is the first thing people look out for. The very first thing anyone who sees this effect is going to think is, "Well it must be in the cards." And as soon as that deck of cards isn't able to be inspected, GAME OVER. Without the use of a good deck switch, this trick is completely NON-EXAMINABLE. For a strong illusion such as this, that is disastrous.
The other reason why I don't like it is that with use of Kundalini Rising or similar effects sold, the same effect is accomplished in a much better way. The deck can be borrowed, for example, and you can end completely clean and the deck completely examinable. And with Kundalini Rising, the effect is pretty simple to do. If you get all these benefits from that, why would you ever invest a gimmicky, not-clean Rising Card deck?
I personally recommend against this. You will be a much better, and more popular magician using Kundalini Rising or the other variations of Rising Card.

Too Gimmicky

This is just too gimmicky for me. The gimmick is big, and mine doesn't really seem to work all that well. I've had this for several years, and never peformed it. It's gotten some good reviews by others, but it's just not for me.

Rising Card

This is a great trick for magicians who are just starting out and looking to build a reputation. Sometimes it's also good for experienced magicians to use it too. This is one of those effects that there is a good chance that people will freak out. This deck makes the trick so easy to do, but sometimes people will want to look at the deck. If you want to avoid this, consider also trying Kundalini Rising.

I brought this deck soon after seeing David Blaine perform this effect on one of his TV specials. I thought it would be a lot more technically difficult and fiddly but I was happy to learn that it's actually incredibly easy and pretty much self-working.
It's a great effect and one of those ones that seem to stand out in audience's memories; I recently had a guy remember me for being 'That guy who made my card rise out of a deck'.
