Of course, You get what you get from seeing the preview. YES, you have to ditch something, YES, you can't have people behind you. YES, you do have to destroy a card or two. BUT for this effect, I gotta say... It's Killer. This new Torn and Restored is one of the coolest concepts I've come across with to date. The sliding just kills :)

Especially with the extra cards they give you to perform the incorrectly restored routine, This whole package is great. The teaching is also pretty well done as well, with that said, big thanks for De'Mon and Titanus.

There is just one discrepancy and that's with the actual restoration itself. There is a fraction of the card that's not meant to be showing and with bordered cards, it looks particularly bad. HOWEVER, Nobody ever notices. It's great to see I was wronged, it's is very much in my repertoire now.

SLIDE is WELL worth the money if you're a magician who's going out to the streets doing close up.

I've been buying from Penguin for almost 10 years I believe and I dont think I've ever written a review.

The higher price for this effect had me a little worried that I'd be disappointed and out some good money. When I first opened the package I thought the fear was coming true. Once I loaded the DVD and held the gimmick, things started looking positive.

This is a well thought out gimmick with well thought out routines. Some will play stronger than others - mainly the duo signed playing card. There are multiple ways of producing the gimmick and ditching it is pretty simple especially considering the reactions you'll most likely get with this effect.

I hope others will take the leap and purchase this effect. It's nice for the developers to get rewarded when a well though out effect is produced (especially with so many disappointing effects out there).

SLIDE is the bomb. Simple easy to perform and the reactions are golden. By the trailer you can see it's just not playing cards.

The gimmick that makes the trick work is totally useless. The special something that's supposed to move the two pieces and restore them keeps flipping half of the card (or bill, I've tried the money version as well) over, thus exposing and ruining the entire effect. Frankly I'm surprised others haven't run into this problem. I've ordered some great stuff from Penguin Magic. This is not one of them. A total disappointment and a waste of $$.

This is a great close up trick, a better way to hand out your business card in a magical way, I use the trick since day one and it stay with me ever since, love it.

This is just amazingly awsome. People think they know how its done, untill you hand it out for examination, theyre heads just turn like how the hell did he do that. Even Dynamo performed this and thats saying something. Even though you have got angle issues, you can control them by using or other hand or even down towards your body. With.other TnR you have to have folds and flaps and some angle problems, this just the same except easier and more hard hitting. This is my favourite business card trick, which I have done many times now and doesnt get old.

I mainly got this to use for handing out my non-magician business cards. The thinking behind this is great! The gimmick is ingenious! Of course, you'll have to watch your angles but don't let that sway you from purchasing this effect.

This is a great trick. I didn't know what to expect when I got it in the mail but when I put everything together from what the DVD told me, it wasn't that hard to do. Everybody that I did this trick to they really want to know how it's done. Overall it's a great trick.
