yeah i love the trick plus the gimmick because the gimmick can be altered and used for plenty of
other things , but holy cow this trick used to cost like 8.50 or something like that what happened
with the sudden price jump thats crazy , thank god they have refills for 7 dollars and 50 cents ,
aka what the whole trick itself used to cost , the gimmick is strong and will last i still have half
or more of the gimmick supply left and i had this for over 3 years , maybe 4 years , and within that
time i found plenty of uses for the gimmick infact one of my favorite tricks requires this gimmick ,
i just gave it 3 stars for the price , better off buying refils and playin around with it

Hi. This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.
Kundalini Rising is a great
effect and definitely something I would recommend for anyone interested in the effect. It's an easy
to do miracle that will get reactions and will get people talking. I love tricks where the magic
happens in the hands of the spectators, and this may well be one of the best!
I give it 4
stars because of my personal preference not to have to construct the gimmick yourself, which you
must do with this. It's not a terribly difficult process, and you don't need extra materials or
anything, but there are other variations of this effect that come premade, which I prefer. That
said, I've also been let down by the premade gimmicks that were made incorrectly, where Kundalini
you could easily make to your liking.
Grab it, get it, and start amazing people. This
is a good one.

Hi everyone! I have been doing magic for more years than I care to admit. I have had this effect
since it was first offered to the magic fraternity. I do it all the time. This is a true
performance piece as written. That being said, you are not required nor does Jeff want you to copy
verbatim his routines. If this routine is a bit much for your needs by all means change it. It is
after all as I stated earlier a "Performance" piece. A routine meant to be a centerpiece. A full
blown piece of theatre. Thus my title. Drama people. Build some drama into this piece even if you
are going to make it a short bit of theatre. A quick rising card routine. Make the magic moment
count. All of us that perform this on a regular basis can tell you over and over again how great
this effect is, but until YOU actually perform this with some real "Drama" built into YOUR
performance you just will not understand how POWERFUL this effect really can be.
As far as the
"gimmick" breaking, well it happens. Deal with it. I personally have never had it happen. I
usually lose mine because I forget that I have mine on me. Those of you that have this will know
what i mean. When you get this just make up about 15 or 20 gimmicks and store them on a playing
card and sandwich that card between 2 other cards to protect the gimmicks and place them in a card
wallet. Then you will have them whenever you need them. Hope this helps. This is really a
fantastic effect and you might check out the many different presentation on YouTube for other ideas
for variations on performance themes as well as Magic Cafe. Thanks for listening.
This effect is a beauty when the gimmick works well, but that gimmick breaks pretty easily and has
to be remade often.
This is such a great effect. I have had much experience performing this effect. It is the first card
trick, I perform to my spectators, and never have had a dull reaction. After performing this effect
I always get asked to see another trick which is great because that can lead you into a possible
oppurtunity of getting a gig or passing out a business card.
Gimmick : The gimmick is very
clever and the way it is used is even more clever.
Instructions : The instuctions are very clear
and easy to follow.
I am very happy with my purchase, thank you for offering me such a great
The title says it all, really. Walk up to somebody and borrow a deck of cards (or provide one
yourself) and have THEM shuffle the cards. Perform the routine IN THEIR HANDS! End clean! Have
them inspect the cards, there's nothing to find! It's THE best way to perform the rising card
routine. Start and end clean. Let the spectators handle everything the whole time and use normal
I've gotten amazing reactions with this. From people screaming to jaws dropped in
silenced shock. It is easy to do and very reliable. Jeff McBride provides a patter that is almost
too believable. Be careful with this, people will believe you are performing real (black) magic.
Superb. One of the cleanest examinable/rising card routines you can get your hands on. Reasonably
simple setup within 2-3 minutes with a very stunning climax (ESPECIALLY when surrounded by
spectators). The participation of the spectator is what makes this trick so legitimate. The card
rises from a borrowed deck that is not a set-up. The choice is free, and before beginning the
choice can be changed. A real asskicker. Can be examined before and after. And you visually
manipulate nothing when the chosen card emerges because it's in the spectator's hand and is visble
to all. Frighteningly effective! Borrow some cards and change a life.
Let me tell you that I didn't know what to expect with the gimmick. At first I was kind of skeptical
about it, but I really put some thought and presentation into it,and I've got to tell you, this
trick is amazing. The trick is so flexible that you can make up dozens of story lines, you can have
the spectator hold the deck, and you can do it under almost all conditions. You can't go wrong for
the price. Buy this if you want to upgrade your impromptu magic to the next level.
This is simply the best rising card ever. Works all the time. Always great reactions. 10 out of 10
