"Every working pro that I know performs Card on Ceiling (including me) because it's just that good." -- Jay Noblezada, Penguin Magic
"How could someone walk away after you do that trick and not talk about it... it's just there. And when they come back to that restaurant, or that home, or that theater that you did it in... how could they not talk about it...? How could they not relive that moment? How could they not smile as they think about you even years later?" -- Maxwell Murphy, Penguin Magic
"Walk into my living room, there are hundreds of cards on the ceiling. This is my signature trick, I perform it all the time." -Mark Harris, Ultimate Magic Network
The Effect A spectator signs a card and places it in the deck. After wraping the deck with rubberbands, you toss to the ceiling high above the heads of your audience and smack! the signed card sticks to the ceiling while the rest of the deck comes back down!
This kit comes with the complete routine and specially formulated wax. The wax is good for at least 100 performances.

This is Card on Ceiling, a CLASSIC effect. Now, if you have read any of my other reviews, you know that I subscribe to the theory that things become classics for a reason. Crappy tricks never see the light of day after they are released.
This is a trick that stood the test of time; it is truly a miracle to be able to have a card lost in the center, the deck bound and TOSSED at the ceiling ONLY to have the SPECTATORS SIGNED selection stick. This is something truly magical, and has ONE other benefit: Most people NEVER take this card down.
Whether it be sheer laziness or memory based, the card you stick to the ceiling stays on that ceiling. If they do take it off, it is ALWAYS weeks before they do, making this not only a powerful feat of magic, but also making this a great way to be remembered by an audience. Visual reminders are the best, and if you can get one IN THEIR house or building in a MAGICAL way, you are set.
Not to mention the practicality of this effect; you have to carry around a couple SMALL things and you can perform this anywhere (that has a ceiling). All of these things are included and work brilliantly.
For almost 13 dollars, how can you NOT buy this?

This is a fun performance that takes a little practice before you get the moves down. People enjoy the build up in the mess you create at the end. The material you need is fairly inexpensive and available here at Penguin.

Hi! This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.
This is a great effect! It's something that is not only an amazing feat of magic, but its fun and entertaining as well, ESPECIALLY if you dress it right and really play it up to its best potential (which is true for just about any effect).
I give it 4 stars because of a couple things. One, sticking a card to the ceiling isn't necessarily the most "magical" someone can do, and so this trick does really rely on your ability to sell the effect to make it a killer effect. I think, performed poorly, most people may not know exactly how you got their card out of the deck, but will assume you put something on their card and stuck it up on the ceiling. The verdict: a non-entertained or amazed audience.
The other thing is that you have to watch where you do this effect. You can't just perform this anywhere, which can be a pain for someone who performs regularly or for a living. In fact, I've been asked years ago at one of my restaurants to stop performing this effect because it broke fire code.
Definitely a trick worth having in the arsenal though. I would recommend this one.
