"This is one of the few sleights that has migrated from the world of magic to the world of gambling. A devastating move, one that gives the owner a universe of possibilities. Well worth the time it takes to learn." -Acar Altinsel, Penguin Magic
The Effect The Zarrow Shuffle is the ultimate false riffle shuffle. Now Herb Zarrow explains the details and secret techniques that make the Zarrow Shuffle undetectable. No matter how many riffle shuffles you give the deck, you maintain complete control of all the cards. The Zarrow Shuffle is the most deceptive false shuffle ever created and one of the few sleights that was instantly adopted not only by top card workers but also by professional card sharpers.
Persi Diaconis in his introduction to Dai Vernon's Revelations wrote: "Zarrow's shuffle may very well be the single most important practical card move invented since Erdnase.
This is the first time that Herb Zarrow, the inventor of the shuffle, has revealed these handlings, variations and presentations using the shuffle. Most of the material on this tape has never been available before, including many fine points and applications that have been held back for more than 40 years. Learn from the only authorized video on the subject taught by Herb Zarrow, the man who invented it all.

A Mixed Bag
[Verified buyer] by BathTub from Wellington, NZ on 04/02/2010 21:35:54
It was cool to see Mr. Zarrow do this shuffle and some of the variations. But if I was to rate this DVD on the teaching - I'd have to give it a thumbs down. After watching the DVD several times, I'm still not completely sure how to get the thumb break for the strip out. There's even one part where Mr Zarrow tries to give us a better view of what he's doing and actually turns away from the camera. Overall I was pretty disappointed with this purchase.
If you're already familiar with this shuffle and are just looking for some insight from Zarrow himself this DVD should serve you well....

Very Useful Shuffle
[Verified buyer] by Anonymous from England on 06/12/2005 05:09:31
This is an incedibly useful shuffle, and even if you know the Zarrow already, it has some very good tips and subtelties. I use the the shuffle and clean cut move all the time, it is so deceptive. The reason I gave it 4 is because the routines are very poor, and although Herb is a great teacher and his attention to detail is excellent, the routines are by no means stunners that you could impress anyone with. Maybe a single decent triumph effect would give people some better uses for the shuffle.
