The Effect
Make three coins travel mysteriously one at a time underneath two playing cards. Each translocation becomes more impossible as you slowly show your hands empty before and after the coin travels. You really must see this to believe it!

Impossible Matrix will completely fool magicians and lay people alike. A unique gimmick is used that eliminates the need for the sleight-of-hand or special coins used in many other matrix routines.

Impossible Matrix comes with the cards, special gimmick, and full routine. It works with any coins!

FREE BONUS: When you purchase this product from Penguin you'll gain access to a special private discussion forum exclusively for magicians who perform this effect. This is a free feature that can be very helpful in mastering your new magic. Please visit the Penguins Only section for more information.

  Can't recommend this
by Anonymous from NY on 04/09/2010 12:52:55      [report this review]
There are too many problems with this routine that keep me from recommending it. The issue is the gaff. Because of its construction, your angles are horrible. Secondly, because of the way it works, it forces you to handle cards in a way that looks, and even sounds, unnatural. You might get away with that kind of move once, but when you have to keep doing it over and over again, it's going to become obvious to the spectator that somehow the method is relying on that.

The original classic matrix routine is not all that difficult. The sleights are basic and certainly not beyond anyone's capability. And to be honest, even though you could say Impossible Matrix doesn't require sleights, the handling of the gaff is a little awkward and finicky, so it doesn't really seem any easier than employing basic sleights.

  Very Good
by Trent from Canada on 04/09/2010 06:08:47      [report this review]
A simple idea but a killer effect when done properly. Unlike some card coin matrix effects this one is very easy to perform and the handling is very clever. The one problem is that it is not totally examinable however with good presentation this is easy to get around. I like this one for ease of handling and for how strong it can be when done properly.

  One of His Best
by christurchinski from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 04/05/2010 23:21:23      [report this review]
John Kennedy has come out with yet another great trick, but this time for a decent price. If you like the original coin matrix but find yourself getting caught, then this pick this up and you'll solve that problem. The coins disappear and you can even show the underside of the card. The downside is that it can't be inspected but you can very easily do a switch out an they will be none the wiser.

  Clockwork Magic
[Verified buyer] by Peter Gilmore from Wollongong, NSW Australia on 04/02/2010 14:57:33      [report this review]
A real worker. There's no other way to describe this effect. It's one of those tricks that you can rely on. It's quick and direct. You don't weigh the audience down with miles of patter. Just let the coins and the magic do the talking for you. Like ambitious card, this trick crosses the language boundaries. Nothing is simpler - I have three coins here and one by one they teleport. Done. Buy now! Note: The gimmick may be easy to spot if you allow spectators to gaze upon the cards for too long. My advice is to keep your hands moving.

  Great......with the right setting
by Anonymous from New York on 11/24/2005 06:12:59      [report this review]
Impossible matrix is a good pocket trick that will stun audiences. The reason I gave it four stars is that it is hard to do on a slick surface. If you want the trick to look even more amazing try a closeup pad.
