S.T.C. (Sharpie Through Card)

Peter Nardi has created an up to date version of Rob Bromley's classic Cigarette Through Card effect. Making it an effect that every magician should own and perform.

Imagine if you could penetrate a signed card with a regular Sharpie and then hand both items out completely unharmed!

I honestly love this trick ive used it everywhere i go and have got amazing reactions. The only bad thing about this trick would have to be that if you use the gimmick alot THE SECRET ends up being very noticable. But im sure this is because ive performed this about 200 times. Honestly i feel its overpriced knowing it just brings one Gimmick. I will not be buying this again unless price is dropped. So if your a street magician like me i advise you dont use it too much or THE SECRET will be obvious. But overall this affect is amazing, I EVEN FELL FOR IT

As a street magician, I am very hesitant to look at effects that involve gimmicks. I don't like having to carry them and I prefer to keep my act impromptu. Every now and then an effect comes along that makes me rethink my position.

STC is a very well thought out effect that packs a lot of punch. I have gotten some of my best reactions with this effect. The provided gimmick is of extremely high quality construction. It should last a very long time and perform flawlessly. It seems to be very durable. A little TLC should ensure that this gimmick will last a lifetime.

The instruction on the DVD is not bad. It presents a couple of different handlings. A little more attention could have been paid to getting in and out of the effect, but anyone who has done any card work will have no issues figuring this out for themselves.

Within a couple of performances I developed my own original handling that allows me to start and end clean. This effect now has a permanent spot in my routine.

I bought this out of curiosity; it is an updated version of the cigarette thru card. Gimmick is well made, but in time will wear out. As much as I like it, I don't think I'll use it in my routines....to me, the effect versus the hassle of getting the gimmick out of the deck, is not worth adding to my routines. Five stars for the well made gimmick, but for practicality and longevity I give it a "no go".

I only buy magic tricks that I cannot figure out how it's done within 10 minutes of seeing it performed. This one had me a little baffled. When I received it, I figured out the method easily and with a little help from magician's wax was able to perform with ease. This is a GREAT trick and if performed correctly really amazes spectators because you give them the signed card with NO HOLE. GREAT TRICK!

this trick is terrible.i dont know why people like it so much.the method is predictable and hasnt fooled anyone because its so noticeable.its practically screaming"hey look at me!this is how its done!even my five year old sister could see it.It hasnt worked for me at all and its snapped off already!worst trick i ever owned!And they only include one card gimmick!my friends were suprised that i spent 29 dollars on this crap!i would probably buy it for 10-20 at the most only if the gimmick wasnt already half broken when it arrived!i tried this for a little kid at school and he told me i was a bad magician for doing it.so not only has this trick not worked,but it has ruined my self-esteem just in front of a little kid!Absolutely horrible trick and i deserve a refund or atleast exchange for this because of how badly made it is.could not recommend it less!

Obviously the gimmick is exactly what i expected it to be and if you've been doing magic for awhile this will certainly not be new to you either (but you probably already knew that)

It wasn't until I actually started playing with the gimmick is when I really fell in love with this effect. The gimmick is of high quality, I wouldn't expect anything less from the guys over at Alakazam and its undetectable. I was fooling myself playing around with it last night and i can't wait to take it out and give it a test run.

A thing of real beauty-- this one gets gasps of astonishment and is such fun to do! You'll want to have this one with you always. It can be used as an effect in its own right, as part of an ambitious card or other signed card routine. Beautifully made, incredibly visual. Looks like a real miracle, leaves the sharpie and card in their hand, and fools everyone. The trick of the year, imho!

Great trick, but as you read needs a gimmick. If you are good with using cards this trick is easy to do and seems like gimmick will last long, but like all tricks must practice at least some time before showing it off

Very genious and well thought of trick. Its a little noisy but if you practive it for about 10 minutes the noise is gone and the trick looks better than on the video. I highly recommend this trick. Its so amazing and the angles are great and its just all around a perfect job. I love it!
