Effortless. Like real magic SHOULD be.

A finger ring is linked onto a SOLID rubber band.

And the best part? You HAND IT OUT. LINKED.

MY BRAIN SNAPPED when Ben linked a ring and rubber band, but IT EXPLODED when he handed me the LINKED ring and band. It just wasn't supposed to be possible.

Yesterday, our studio director Mandy told me a funny story.. During filming, she had no idea she was actually holding a gimmick the whole time. It's that deceptive.

PROFESSIONALS: This trick looks like special effects. It takes up virtually no pocket space, and is a perfect and mind-blowing finale to any rubber band trick you do.

The look on their faces when you hand out the impossibly linked ring and band is priceless. You're going to LOVE this.

Bought this in the coolbox and glad I didn't pay the full price. The demo may look good but in reality it's not. Set-up takes long and is fiddly. Angles are awful, and the rubber band has to be on your hand when approaching someone.

Balancing trick is nothing great, which he even admits!

Overall I am very disappointed. Do not buy!

Decent, bad angles Report this review

Not a bad effect but nothing earth shaking. I was a bit disappointed with the training video contents or like thereof. Not much detail on handling, aside from the main move but angles are a death wish here. They aren't good at all unless you have one person directly in front of you and even then, you need to be mindful. Would have liked more info on the best types of rings to use but overall, this is a good, visual piece of eye candy that looks to be quite easy to perform. I just wish it had better angles.

I know there will be a lot of complainers out there. I however think this is a real nice effect. You will have some angles to watch for but like any angle sensitive effect you either don't perform it if the circumstances are wrong or you move so you can control who can see your performance. You don't perform in the round with an effect that is made to be performed front on. This is a great looking effect front on. Actually your angles are not that bad if you use your head and shade your angles at the proper moments. This is not going to be an effect you do 5 minutes after the download. You will need to practice the get ready so you can be ready right out of the gate. That being said, don't be afraid of a little work. This is a nice addition to your rubber band routines especially with rings. You will need to have a set of matching rings to do this effect unless you go the route of using candy like lifesavers. Take a chance. It is a cheap download and a good looking effect.

Pretty horrible in method and explanation. This kid is so lost in his own explanation that he hems and haws the whole way through.

We get to learn the "secret" of the ring balance which Ben himself confesses is rubbish.

I watched the trailer as I was working on a ring and band routine myself. I thought I knew how it was done but I said "no way, they would not try to sell us that garbage method."

I was wrong. If you think you know it, you are right. Don't waste your time.

I give this effect two stars mostly because I was sad to see that preparing the effect takes a bit of work and a lot of attention to detail, especially if you want it to look good. I've never used this even though I was so pumped to learn it. Hope it works for you better than for me.

This is the worst product I've ever bought from Penguin. Hands down. First, I could not get the prep to work at all. Tried quite a few times, changed materials, tried some more, but no go. You can't do this without the prep. If you could do it, I'm sure you'd find it VERY angly. And, no, you can't hand this out. The prep would be obvious to anyone who got their hands on it. But since the prep doesn't work, no problem. No one will ever examine it. No one will ever see me do it! Pretty lame teaching, too. I'm really surprised Penguin released this.

This got a lot of bad reveiws, but I like it. I will say that my handling is slightly different, I start with the gimmick in my left hand and place the rubber band over my fingers while my left hand is right there, blocking some bad angles. As for the ring balance, I actually think it is really cool. I have a rounded wedding band and I thought it wouldn't work, but it does. It's just something I hadn't thought was possible.

Good trick, but Practically Speaking... Report this review

The effect is visual and relatively simple to perform, and the impromptu method is good. I would say though, the end result is not as examinable as I might have hoped. That doesn't kill the effect, but it does weaken it in my mind. Overall, it is good, not great.
