From a concept by Luke Dancy, 'The Wowlett' allows you to perform card to wallet like never before. At last the Wow gimmick is made logical and completely invisible.

For example:

  • Imagine having two cards selected and shuffled into the deck.
  • They vanish!
  • The magician now picks up his wallet, that's seemingly been sitting on the table throughout and opens it to show the first selection INSIDE the plastic window of the wallet. Now for the kicker that makes this unique:
  • The magician now holds the wallet close to the spectator as they see the first card VISIBLY MORPH into the second SIGNED selection! This is reputation making magic at it's best.
Points to note:
  • THE CUSTOM WALLET FITS A REGULAR WOW GIMMICK (not included) MAKING IT INVISIBLE
  • THE WALLET CAN FIT IN JACKET OR TROUSER POCKETS
  • MADE FROM THE FINEST LEATHER
  • COMES WITH FULL INSTRUCTIONAL DVD FEATURING MULTIPLE ROUTINES
  • THE WOW GIMMICK SOLD SEPARATELY
With the Wowlett you'll be able to perform:

The Ultimate Mystery Card

Visible Anniversary Waltz

Thought of Card to Wallet

Signature Transpositions

Two Card Transpo

Signature appearances

No palm card to wallet tarnspo

WOW...How Disappointing! Report this review

This is a very detailed review of Wowlett. The Wowlett really does a great job combining an unfamiliar prop with an item everyone can relate to, giving WOW a practical presentation. The concept of Wowlett is really clever; it's one of those ideas that will have you wondering why you didn't think of it yourself. However, Luke Dancy may have been too caught up in the concept's originality and cleverness because not much thought was put into the wallet's construction, and too much thought put into the price.

I'll have to admit this is my very first card-to-wallet I've owned so I can't speak highly or lowly of Wowlett's material compared to other card-to-wallets. The leather does feel and look great; it's neither stiff or too soft. It even has that pleasant (or unpleasant for some of you) leather wallet smell.
At first Wowlett seemed considerably bigger in size compared to my regular wallet but after measuring it at 3.75" x 4.5", Wowlett is only half an inch longer and several centimeters taller than my regular wallet.
Wowlett is a standard bi-fold with seven compartments including the exclusive compartment for your WOW gimmick. The major draw back of Wowlett in regards to mimicking a regular wallet is the absence of a compartment for your cash. I was planning on replacing my regular wallet for Wowlett but I can't do that because there's no appropriate compartment for my cash. One can do a little compromise by using the inside compartment used normally for business cards and such to store cash, but I don't prefer that compromise. The reason why a cash compartment was left out was simply because that compartment would make it impossible for a card load due to the location of the secret pocket.
Card loading seems easy enough with practice but again, I can't compare it with other card-to-wallets because this is my very first card-to-wallet. Albeit, the location of the secret pocket can cause your palmed card to get caught on the pocket itself.
The window compartment for the WOW gimmick is appropriate for the size of the gimmick, and is unquestionably normal in appearance. The only complaint I have is that the inside border of the window is lined with clear plastic. The part of the WOW gimmick that does the card change can become stuck to this plastic at times making it difficult to do the card change. I've actually bent this part of the WOW gimmick with my finger nail because it became stuck to the inside border. At this point I don't think I can even easily do the card change because it is too bent. The video demonstration above where Rick says the design of Wowlett allows you to secretly activate the WOW gimmick from behind the wallet is a bit confusing. I can't figure out how to do the card change from the back of the wallet, and this is not explained on the DVD.

Without comparison to other card-to-wallets (again because this is my first card-to-wallet I've owned), and without hesitation, I can say Wowlett's construction is really poor because it doesn't allow me to carry my cash which in turn doesn't allow me to replace my own wallet, the location of the secret pocket for card loading can pose an issue, and it rendered my WOW gimmick unusable with the wallet because part of the WOW gimmick is bent due to the construction of Wowlett's window compartment. To put it simply, I can't use this wallet, and there is no reason for me to ever use it. The only "wow" part of this prop now doesn't come from the fact that it cleverly incorporates the WOW gimmick, but how incredibly over-priced it is for its concept (it's clever but certainly not worth $100) and its of lack of thought and effort in construction.

Since WOW is a prop I normally wouldn't use or prefer to use alone, there's no reason for me to perform it. I perform much like how David Blaine does magic; I use normal appearing objects in my magic. The only reason why I bought WOW was because of Wowlett, and since Wowlett has proven to be unusable by my standards, I wasted $140. It has been a long time since I've been highly disappointed in purchasing an effect. I strongly dissuade anyone from purchasing Wowlett!

I really hate to do this. I wanted to like this so bad but I feel so ripped off. This is absolutely not worth $100. I have owned numerous other card to wallets (F1 Nitro, Infinity Wallet, Real Mans wallet, Hip Pocket Bombshell, and a couple of Jerry Oconnell wallets) all which are head and shoulders better than this wallet. All that is wallet offers is an open window to put your WOW gimmick. The loading area and the rest of the wallet in General is absolutely awful. It is almost impossible to smoothly load a palmed card in this wallet. I think this is maybe why Ric said in the demo video that he would not palm and load, but rather have a card in the wallet already that he would force. So so so disappointed and the creator should be absolutely ashamed for charging this much for this wallet.

A waste of money Report this review

I agree with some of the previous reviews that, while in concert it is a great idea, the fact of the matter is that it is very difficult and "hit or miss" to get the card to morph correctly. The switching move makes the wow gimmick unusable after a couple of attempts and one can never be dead certain that it will work in performance. I'm putting mine up for sale with the wow gimmick as it will never be used. Very disappointed in something that could be miraculous if it worked.

Really Really wanted to like this Report this review

I don't think anyone has used the WOW gimmick as much as I have. I absolutely love the WOW gimmick and it gets some of the best reactions of anything that I do. So when I saw that a wallet released that made this gimmick logical, I jumped all over it and waited anxiously for this to arrive. I could not be more disappointed. YES it is a fantastic idea to incorporate a wallet with this gimmick, however, the wallet is EXTREMELY cheap! It is the most basic wallet you can imagine. I expected a much higher quality item than what I received. Also, the way that the WOW gimmick is designed, the card that is supposed to be revealed shows up the best when the card is slid into the back of the gimmick itself. This is not possible when the gimmick is in the wallet, so the selected card ends up very hard to see when the change is done.

Trust me, I sincerely wanted to like this item because it is a perfect concept. However, no matter how much I want to like it, it is JUST NOT WORTH $100!!! I would maybe pay $40 for this. It is such a cheap wallet, which is the absolute most disappointing part of it all. I feel like I could make this wallet myself with any normal wallet. I cannot express enough how cheap the wallet is. Please reconsider if you are thinking of buying this.

This DOCUMENTED IDEA is a total rippoff of my design from 2011 and I would've never charged this much. This is sick!
NOW WHAT I SUGGEST IS FINDING A NICE CARD TO WALLET FOR HALF THE PRICE. BUY A WOW GIMMICK & CUT OFF THE BACK CARD HOLDING GIMMICK AND PLACE IN WALLET WINDOW,ENJOY!

wow this is too expensive for a piece of crap Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on December 1st, 2015
Like alot of the other reviewers that gave it a low rating, I also really wanted to love it. The wow gimmick itself is such a great trick. So the concept of having it in a wallet for the real world was a great idea.
Firstly it is WAY too expensive(and it doesn't come with a wow gimmick!!??). It is not a practical everyday wallet you can use. Its too dam big. Trying to get the card in the correct position behind the wow gimmick is impossible. And if you do manage to get it behind the gimmick, you can barely see the card because its not in the wow gimmick, its BEHIND it! Don't get the wowlett. You will regret it. Spend your money on something better.

A must have for WOW owners Report this review

The WOW gimmick is a very clever design, but it;s hard to justify what it is. Laypeople have never seen anything like it.

Enter the Wowlett Wallet. Now you have a double card to wallet that will blow them away.

The wallet itself is made of the finest leather. You feel better performing when your props look the finest and the Wowlett is all that and more.

Totally Contextualizes the WOW gimmick Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on December 18th, 2013
The WOW is a great, visual card change. But it takes place is this weird clear envelope. That looks like a magic prop.

Until now.

The Wowlett totally contextualizes the WOW gimmick. Wallets really do have plastic viewing windows, for IDs. So why not put a WOW gimmick in there?

Plus, with the Wowlett, you can operate the WOW gimmick from the back, secretly. (Though, oddly, in the promo video they seem to operate it from the front.)

Yeah, the price is high, but this is a high-quality wallet, and it's really hard to even put a price on magic this visual...looks like a real life camera trick!
