The Effect If you're considering this effect you should check out Public Transit by Jay Sankey. It's the same basic effect, with a method that's much more effective in the real world.
Phase One: The magician punches a hole through a freely chosen and signed card. He covers the hole with his finger tips and mysteriously slides the hole to a totally new location on the card! The hole is real and the spectator's can see right through it!
Phase Two: At his command, without covering it, the hole visibly jumps to a third location on the card!
Phase Three: The magician then takes another card, slides it over the chosen card, and the hole visibly jumps from the chosen card to the second card!
Both cards can be given to the spectator as souvenirs!

Well, this is definitely something different. The problem is that you're doing something that is physically impossible, so the spectator will know some sort of gaff is involved. As soon as the first hole move happens, you will be under severe scrutiny as they try to see how the gaff is working. I prefer effects where the action is happening during misdirection, rather than when you've practically invited the spectator to burn your hands.
Not that the handling isn't very difficult; all you need to do is get comfortable with the gimmicked card, and you need to be able to do a double lift. But under pressure, the possibility of fumbling with the gimmick doesn't seem out of the question.
And as for the comment at the end of the demo video, everything is NOT completely examinable. Yes, they can examine their card and the card with the hole in it, but that's not "everything".

A Great Trick
by christurchinski from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 04/06/2010 01:55:23
Hollow is such an amazing trick that can be done with any signed card. No force is needed when having a card selected but unfortunately the trick can't be done face up. If you own the trick you know why. But that doesn't mean that it isn't still stunning. Witnessing a hole move in a solid card is so amazing but to witness move from one card to another is even more amazing. The best part is that afterwards, you can even let them keep their signed card as a souvenir.

Hollow... an indepth review
by Josh Janousky from Orlando, FL on 04/03/2010 00:39:21
Teaching: The instructions were very clear and the pictures were perfect. If you get this effect I recommend looking up other magicians who perform this effect. I learned a lot by watching Oz's presentation and Asi Wind's as well.
Quality of materials(if it is a gimmik etc): The gimmick is well made. People ave complained that its very delicate but like I said above, if you take care of it, it won't break. Also in case you actually do break it, it shouldn't be to hard to make your own. The only things I have to say on the negative side is it's slightly thicker than most cards (about 2 cards thick), you can have the hole felt only on the front of the card (if the Spec feels the back they might feel something fishy going on), the gimmick can make a slight noise (easily covered up with background sounds though) and only comes in Blue Bicycle (not a big problem for me but I know some people who only use Red Bikes, or use Tallyhos, Bee's, etc.). It only has one angle problem which is directly behind you but with some creative crowd control thats not really a big deal.
Difficulty: It takes about 10 min to learn and a week to work out any kinks/
Applications: GREAT opener, really gets their attention. Perfect for close up magic. This could work really well at school or at an office because having a hole punch wouldn't be that uncommon.
Overall Rating: I'd give this an 8/10 I docked 2 points only because of feeling that back of the card and the possibility of it breaking.
Final Thoughts: I truly enjoy this trick and will be using it often. One thing to look out for, after performing this trick people will start asking you to move holes on everything!

Peek-A-Boo!

It took me about 10 minutes before I was able to move holes around on a card. Absolutely stunning! The gimmick is however quite fragile so you need to be careful when practising. A strongly recommended trick!

What a Brilliant trick! I love visual magic and I love maagic which is different and a bit alternative, and a moving hole effect is certainly different.
The gimmick is very well made, so if you're concerned about nosey spectators then don't be because they won't spot the gimmick.
The routine is very well thought out as well, it's nice to see an effect which is 1) brilliant 2)well thought out and 3)priced at a resonable price.
