Stand Up Monte by Garrett Thomas - A fabulous strolling trick that requires no table and packs a lot of magic and fun into a really great routine. Highly Recommended!!!!
The Effect A Wonderful Marriage of Wild Card & Three-Card Monte
It starts out easy enough...the magician displays a single 3 of Diamonds and plays a game of "one-card monte" with the spectator. Just to make things a little tougher, another card, the Ace of Clubs, is added which acts as the money card. After a few rounds, another 3 of Diamonds is added in and now the fun really begins.
No matter how hard they try, the spectator just can't follow the Ace! For the eye-popping climax, all of the cards are shown to have changed into the Ace of Clubs!

This is a fantastic and well-thought out routine. Technically it is not that difficult, but it will take a bit of effort to get the phases down. Everything you need to perform this great routine is included and it really is a bargain considering that if you are like me you will use this quite a bit.

Monte at it's best

This trick is pretty much like the Comedy Two Card Monte, but in my opinion it is better. Plus, the ending is a lot stronger than the two card monte. This is a classic move in magic turned into an entertaining routine. If you aren't familiar with this trick consider adding it to your next order and you'll be glad you did. You can expect good reactions from this trick too.

i got this trick with my birthday money and preform it ALL the time. the only problem i had when reciving this trick was it only came with 2 cards... well i dont want to sound cheap but i didnt really want to buy a whole other deck of cards just to preform this trick. so sometimes when i preform this trick the spectator sees that the card changed. but other than that, great trick!!!!

Great Trick, but...

This is one of my favorite tricks because it is very easy to carry and set up. I use it a lot and have just ordered my 3rd or 4th set. I am very disappointed that the price has gone up considerably AND Penguin used to ship all cards required for the trick. Now they only ship two of four, so on top of the increased cost, I need to go out and buy a matching deck and pull cards out of it to do the trick. I know that prices go up, but it is disappointing to see the quality of what we get go down at the same time.
Don't let this discourage you from how great the trick is, though. It is awesome!!

Although this will take some hours to learn the routine, it is well worth the work! Every time I have performed this it has gotten great reactions. The included instructional video is poor, but Oz's performance is amazing. Many reviews spoke poorly of the written instructions, but I found them very helpful when coupled with Oz's routine.
I would recommend this trick to anyone who is willing to put in the time to learn it and wants great reactions.
As a side note, I even messed up the trick on two occasions and showed something I wasn't supposed to and my spectators noticed NOTHING! Even when flashing what was not supposed to be flashed I still got them.
