This is a good dvd, but it isn't perfect. The strength of the dvd is the headliner, 3 Ring Circus. The gimmicks that come with the dvd are quality products. The routine itself is really good and fit for all walk around gigs. The added benefit is that they are ordinary objects. Other good routines are the Kung fu coin Change. This is fun to perform and has some of Sankey's creative coin thinking. The other routines are a big disappointment. Had it not been for 3 ring circus I would have given this dvd a 3. These are just identical tricks that can be found on other Sankey dvd's, the presentation has just been changed. All in all though, this is a good dvd and will be especially beneficial to those that don't have all of Sankey's work.

Great Routine
by christurchinski from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on 04/08/2010 01:31:50
The linking rings is a classic routine in the world of magic. The only problem with it that it looks fake. The routine is mostly always done on stage so everyone can expect a gimmick. With this routine you use everyday objects which makes the routine so much more powerful. Everyone has held key rings and know how hard it is to open them. That way when you like them instantly, it will blow them away. In the end, you can even hand them out for your spectators try. Of course they won't be able to. Jay Sankey has really come out with an amazing product here.

good stuff!

On this DVD, Jay Sankey teaches you how to take some ordinary key rings, and link them together under impossible conditions.
When I first got this, I was very confident with it. Jay goes very slow and deliberate in his teching. There are links, unlinks, and various other sleights used. YES. It IS a sleight of hand effect.
Not really...but yeah it is. You get some props though. A specially machined gimmick that's super high quality and some normal key rings to get you going. I recommend this HIGHLY! People love it because they can relate to it

Great Trick, but caution
[Verified buyer] by Justin Alan from Bloomington, MN on 04/04/2010 04:24:16
This is a great close up version of the classic linking rings. I always hated carrying around the big clanky rings, then this came along.
You can do a lot of the same things with this as you could with the big rings and you can even hand them out linked as a souvenir if you desire.
But beware, the gimmick may come apart on you. I found that some good quality super glue does the trick. Other than that, this is a great close up version and I recommend it for anyone that wants a close up version of the classic.

Great value

While the ring trick itself is fairly short, it is easy to perform and as visual as it gets. Although not all the rings are examinable you can present it so the audience beleives it. Also there are several powerful card and other routines taught that could have earned their own DVD!
