In The Trenches with Paul Green (DVD) - Paul Green performs the kind of magic that audiences love, and that you'll love performing. Practical, powerful, and memorable. Highly Recommended!
The Effect Paul Green performs the kind of magic that audiences love, and that you'll love performing. Paul was named "Lecturer of the Year" at the world famous Magic Castle in 2002 and additionally has been nominated by his peers at "The Castle" for Close Up Magician of the year two times. With years of experience and thousands of performances under his belt, Paul Green's magic is practical, powerful and memorable.
In The Trenches contains:
Jeopardy - This is considered to be one of the best presentations of the triple prediction. This effect literally UNFOLDS (prop included) and announces a series of card predictions that would make Alex Trebec?s head spin!
2 Copper Silver - An eye-popping coin routine with the ever-popular 2 Copper Silver coin set (it also works with Silver, Copper, Brass). There are three distinct transpositions and it?s easy to do. Features Paul?s ?Pouch Switch? that elegantly ditches the gaffs and leaves you clean as a whistle.
KB/PG Sponge Balls - Inspired by Ken Brooke, this audience tested routine has everything from vanishes, transpositions, and changes ? all the way down to mini spongeballs!!
Mission Impossible - One of Paul?s most requested tricks as he becomes a spy and the secret documents (a signed playing card) appears in the most unusual place. ? A mini-briefcase!
Above, Beside, or Below - Coins across that really surprises your audience. Perfect for strolling venues as it?s all done in their hands.
Here, There, and Chicago Too - Combining the classic ?Here, There, and Everywhere? plot with the ?Chicago Opener?, this routine will fool your audience ? hard! Not as tough as you think.
Four On the Floor - With the help of J.C. Wagner, your audience will scream as they go through the twists and turns of this card revelation.
Coming Together - Based on Peter Samuelson?s ?New York Transpo,? this is Paul?s take on bringing two spectators together Anniversary Waltz style. Two separate signatures end up on the same card ? and it uses normal cards!
The Rope Routine - Fabulous, great, unbelievable handling for the Professor?s Nightmare. It will fool you even if you already do the routine.
Flying Eagles - A classic coin routine sprinkled with dynamic touches that make it a hard-hitting and striking piece of magical theater.

This DVD has a lot of good stuff. There is a really good coin routine that you can use that is easy to do and will amaze your spectators. The best part of the whole DVD is the trick Jeopardy and is in my opinion worth the price of the DVD alone. What makes this trick so good is that a lot of it is completely controlled by the spectator. They determine how many cards are reversed. This is a really powerful mentalist trick. Buy this video and I'm sure you'll agree that it's well worth the money.

These is some good stuff on this DVD. Great DVD to find audience-tested material to inject into your set. I particularly like Jeopardy, it has a fun premise, audiences can identify with the game show theme, and it has a very funny ending. Green's version of the Professor's Nightmare and the Cut and Restored Rope is pretty good as well. Highly recommended.

Jeopardy is worth the price of the DVD

I got this DVD as part of a Penguin Promo, and it has not disappointed me. I wasn't expecting a lot since I had never heard of Paul Green, and the video style is a little drab, but other than that, the material is excellent. Jeopardy completely fooled me when I saw it initially, and only now have I discovered it's actually a take on a classic effect. Paul Green is a true worker, and it shows. If you're interested in improving your card magic, also check out his DVD on the classic force! It's a must-have.

I did not like every effect on this DVD, but I will tell you the effect that is worth the whole DVD alone, Jeopardy.
In one effect you have a whole routine and you can switch up the patter and presentation anyway you would like. I have done this various times and spectators truly love it. If you perform at private parties and do little shows, I bleive there are many effects on here, you could put every effect on this DVD into a routine and have a whole 30 - 45 minute quality show.
Overall completely worth it and the teaching and quality were great.
