A modern take on a classic magical effect. For years Karate Coin has been performed with coins such as half dollars. Kung Food allows you to upgrade to an item recognized and available the world over.

The best part is that it's a utility prop that actually makes sense. These cookies can be found almost anywhere and, when performed at the right place and time, seems impossibly impromptu.

You are supplied with everything you need and it's ready to be performed right out of the package. With a little practice you too can become a Kung Food master.

Forces you to rethink old ideas Report this review

I'm going, to be honest with you, Kung food isn't a new trick, it's an old trick that is now relevant in today's time.
Kung food is easy to do if you do the karate coin trick.
Now, the good thing about this trick is that it's incredibly easy to pick up if you don't do karate coin because now, it's a bigger object.
Where this effect has its strength, is in the fact that you can do this with real Oreos! If you want, you can use the gimmick to make it out of real Oreos. Another strong point of this effect is the idea that you can completely forget about the "moves" and work on presentation, which according to me is way more important than anything.

P.S. There is one interesting piece of presentation bizzaro shares with us that really made me go "WHAT!" because it actually makes the trick seem legitimate.

Great for kids Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 14th, 2017
I tried this in a mini show for kids (ages 4 to 6) after doing the Cookie Bite trick. I gave each kid a real Oreo and had one child toss it back to me and performed the trick. I then put the Oreo into a bag (for a snack after the show I explained)

Of course now every kid wanted to throw Oreos at me. I then had two kids toss the Oreo at me (as I have 2 of the "Kung Food") and the kids were surprised when I "caught" them. I put the Oreos back into the bag again.

Then I told the kids who still had Oreos to throw them at me and I would "catch" them all. I get pelted with cookies and fall to the ground in an overly dramatic fashion which got laughs from all.

As I mostly perform for kids I know a trick is good when they say "Do it again!". This is a "Do it again" kind of trick. Overall it was worth the money and a versatile effect. Very easy to do too.

Fun little trick for the whole family Report this review

I got this effect mainly for my children and my students. It's not a magician fooler, but it's a lot of fun to perform, easy to do, and the gimmicks seem durable.

Combined with Cookie Bite and Bizarro's Overstuft (if someone ever restocks it), you can have a whole Oreo-themed routine.

Exactly What I Thought Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on March 27th, 2017
It's exactly what I thought, which isn't a bad thing just how I thought it was done. Realistic gimmick, explanation is easy and you can do it almost instantly. If you have the Cookie Bite or any other Oreo type trick, this is great to have to just add some spice to it all so you're not just a one Oreo trick wonder. Use your imagination and you'll have fun with this! Not a blow you away kind of trick, but sandwiched (as in cookie - see what i did there) in with the other tricks it just makes them all better and gives you a nice routine so a strong 4 star here.

Kung Fu Food Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on February 21st, 2017
This is a great trick for walk around restaurant magic where there are children. Using a small four pack of Oreos and then asking parents permission to give them to the kids to eat lets you ask for one back for yourself. Throwing the real Oreo thin in the air and doing the trick allows for a switch and you can eat the evidence which takes the heat off the gimmick.

Great addition to Oreo magic. Report this review

Two things had me interested right away. This is the first time I’ve seen the karate coin concept applied to an Oreo or food stuffs. Rather than a coin of bottle cap, an Oreo cookie is great because you can combo and chain it with other tricks like Bizzaro’s OVERSTUFT, COOKIE BITE, MOREO stretch cookie, and MENTAL COOKIE. If there are any other Oreo themed magic tricks, let me know, but I think that may be it!
The instructional video is well produced and the trick is laid out nicely and entertaining. As always, it’s Bizzaro. Great magician and performer. I do recommend!

BIZZARO IS THE BEST! Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on January 25th, 2019
Bizzaro is a mastermind when it comes to tricks with "ordinary" objects. I own non-toxic, overstuft, and now kung food.

The trick is pretty obvious if you've been in magic for a minute, but to ordinary people, this is great eye-candy. Most reactions are not over the top (except for kids, they love this!) but it is still an amazing trick. I switch it for a regular oreo and eat it to end "clean".

Good Instructional Report this review

I have to admit I used to find Bizzaro a little bit too weird for me. But after this video I am a big fan. He is a really good teacher and covers the minute details that make this simple trick a work of art.
There are a lot of Oreo tricks out there and this can be a big part of a whole Oreo routine.

The gimmick is great and the video explanation is fun and light, I hate magicians that just regergitate word for word of a routine (I understand thats what ypure purchasing in Part) this effect is a great inspirational tool to get you moving on your feet and to find fun ways to insert its greatness
