The Effect A card is selected and returned to the deck. The magician then lets the SPECTATOR shuffle the deck completely losing their card in the middle of the pack. The deck is then handed back to the magician who cuts the cards one time and the selected card magically rises to the top of the deck! This is definitely a good trick for the beginner and something I might recommend to any card magic novices. It's definitely something good to use in those early stages of magic, and can actually have some uses even later.
My problem with it is two-fold. One, many if not all the effects that are generally done with a stripper deck can be accomplished using a regular, un-gaffed deck. In fact, just about everything I used to do with a stripper deck I do with normal cards now, and I have learned invaluable and beneficial card sleights in the process. Two, many laymen know about the Stripper deck. Many times when performing with regular cards, I'll have a laymen grab the deck and inspect it looking for the Stripper gaff. Happens all the time. I like that because they are floored when they don't find it. However, if I used a Stripper deck to accomplish those feats, I'd be hosed.
Don't get me wrong, Stripper deck is a good tool and I think great for beginners or for people who just don't want to spend the time and effort to learn basic sleight of hand. Just be cautious because a lot laymen do know about this deck, and overuse of this deck can hamper your willingness to learn sleights which would be much more amazing and useful over time.

A must have for any beginner

If you're just getting into magic, then you have to have one of these decks, along with a Svengali deck. The tricks you can do with a stripper deck are endless. You can even fool a lot of magicians with it. I used mine a lot when I first got into magic, but now I prefer to use non-gimmicked decks.

The Stripper Deck is one of the most well known trick decks among magicians; BUT NOT LAYMAN!!
This deck looks and feels exactly like a normal pack of bicycle cards. The possibilities are ENDLESS with a stripper deck. The best part is that you can use it as a normal deck as well, and whenever you want - just do a 1 second "set-up" and you're ready to do a miracle.
I HIGHLY recommend the stripper deck to anyone, beginner and pro alike.
