Best First Trick to Show a Girl
My friends and I hang-out together on Friday and Saturday nights at a place where there are always groups of girls. What are the best tricks to do for them? I don't want to walk up and say "Pick A Card" so what are some other recommended tricks?

I've been dating a girl for 2 years now. So I don't do much/any pickup magic anymore. But back in the day I sure did!
The key to picking up women using magic is to not go overboard. Don't do more than one or two tricks. Or you turn into a performing monkey. So when you ask which trick to do "first," I just want to make sure you're not planning to do 10 in a row...
As for which trick to do: Card tricks might not be the best way to go. Because it could be apparent that you're carrying cards around to pick up women. Impromptu magic can be really strong in this situation. I've used the ashes-through-hand effect a bunch of times, with great success. Also, I've made quite a few napkin tulips in my day. If you want to float one Kevin James-style, well, I don't know how you could beat that in a pickup situation!
Past that, thumb tip magic can be great, and it's super easy to carry a tip with you to the bar or to the club or wherever. Takes up less space than a deck of cards! And the things you can do with it...WAY more organic. You can tear and restore napkin pieces, vanish salt. vanish a match, vanish a cigarette---lots and lots of great tricks.
Hope that helps!
Free Will is grat for showing girls, trust me ;)
Any illusion that doesn't involve making money multiply, so throw Greed and Extreme Burn 2.0! Other than that you're pretty safe.
