Black Door

Two questions:
1. Is the hidden "section" easily accessible to the magician when watched by a spectator(s)? (For example, in the first routine on the video, the magician revealed the $100 in the envelope which the spectator did not choose. Was the $100 easily accessible to the magician during performance, or does it require an unnatural move to access the other "locked" side of the envelope?)

2. Just to make sure I understand this correctly; it wouldn't be good for multiple outs because only one side of the envelope can get "locked" in place, correct?

Yeah, the hidden section is easy to get into while the spectator is watching. You can open it, and dump the hidden bill/card/billet into the spectator's hand. Riccardo teahces how to open it with two hands but with some practice, you can easily open it with two hands. It will take a couple tries to get the knack down but it's not difficult, and most of the routines don't make you access the secret compartment under much heat anyway. When you unlock the secret compartment it looks just like you are opening the envelope normally.

It would work for two outs. But only one of those outs can be accessed by the spectator. The other would need to be dumped into the spectator's hand.

So, the spectator will only ever be able to access one side of the envelope, where the magician can access both at any moment.
