I usually bring out a box of normal paper clips with my gimmicked clip held on the tips of my fingertips under the box. The spectator reaches in and pulls out a normal clip. I reach in and pretend to pull out a clip but really have the gimmicked clip in my fingers. The spectator and I both try to use our minds to bend the clip.

When I perform bently, I use three different clips, one normal clip for examination at the beginning, then switch it for a seemingly identical gimmicked one, then switch it for a normal bent open one. Or do as it shows in the video, snapping it then pretending to melt it.

The clip cannot be handed out before the effect begins but at that point the spectator doesn't know what you're about to do. Also don't let a switch throw you off with this one. The effect is the kind of thing that looks like real magic and if you want you can have the spectator hold the clip while it bends in their hands.
