You can borrow the book of matches if you know someone has them. The book isn't prepared in any way. your gimmick just needs to match the style of matches in the book. If you know the venue has a certain style of matchbook you might want to grab a few and prepare your gimmicks using those. That way you can borrow the book and guarantee it will match. No pun intended
