Obviously, very similar routines and both play well.
Personally, I prefer the visual layer of the clear acrylic box vs the wooden box.
Whether it be 'Clarity Box' or 'Mystery Solved', that perspective of both the box and its contents being seen prior to the effect's beginning and then returning to the clear box at the end' works best for my presentation.
Some presentations require a mercury fold.
In fact, I think that Oz uses one in the trailer for Mystery Box.
However, you do not need to do a Mercury fold...your presentation can be tailored very easily to not require such.
Thus, you don't need the 'Bullet'!
For example, as when you're using money, just fold the darn thing...do a simple vanish/palm and have it 'reappear' in that clear box that has been sitting there from the 'get go'.
In closing, there's my 2c opinion...and, candidly, it's not even worth that ;-)
