If you are buying a deck from the US Playing Card Company your options are limited, because they only have a few options available. There are those who claim that this deck is better than that deck, in reality, they are probably nearly identical and that one just looks nicer than the other. The same goes for durability. If you are purchasing from the USPCC, you are going to get cards with very little variation. These are virtually every deck of cards distributed by Theory11, Ellusionist, Murphy's, Dan and Dave, The Virts, and Penguin. The variations go like this:

Paper: Classic playing card stock and Premium playing card is a slightly thicker paper stock.

Crushed paper: Classic and Premium paper stock can also be crushed.

Finish: Embossed finish is available at no extra charge. You may have seen Embossed listed as Air-Cushion, Cambric, Linen, and Magic but they are all the same Embossed finish.

Smooth finish is available as well. You will see smooth finish listed as Ivory finish from time to time.

Just knowing the above information will make you a much more informed buyer of playing cards. Some variation exists in decks manufactured by the Expert Playing Card Company as well as decks from foreign manufacturers or just manufacturers in the US.

If you are having issues with the durability of a deck you might look into purchasing a plastic deck of cards. They cut just fine but are terrible to fan with. The great part with cards like this is that you can get them wet and it will do nothing to them.

Other than that, if you like the design get them! Odds are they will be about as durable as any other deck you own.
