Is adding comedy important?

Agree with S Branham here. I'd rather see a straight magician (like David Blaine) than some guy who thinks he's a comedian but isn't. Any day of the week.

Nobody said you have to be funny. Only add comedy if it fits your personality. There is nothing worse than someone who thinks they are funny and they are not.

Yes and no, sometimes you just sound like a weirdo when you make jokes at some tricks. But for some it is very important because it lets the spectators guard down and will make the trick stronger, usually saying the jokes the magician says in the video works the best, they have been doing the trick for a while before putting it into circulation and they know what they can say without ruining the effect
