Is having them sign a playing card important?

Yes, it is important, if you want to remove the idea that the trick is done with duplicate cards. Some tricks that is the first thought and by proving that is not the case the magic is greatly strengthened.

The purpose of the signature is to prove that playing card is examinated and the only 1 in the world.Depend what card trick you want to perform.ITs vary.

It's not important but it can help make a trick stronger if the card is being destroyed and put back together. People are smarter than you think sometimes.

I can be, If the card is doing something impossible. Like ambitious card, appearing inside your wallet, being torn & restored...etc.

You want to have the card signed just so they don't think it is a double.
