As stated in the marketing, you can teach someone the technique in a few minutes...which is true. That's why it's fun to perform with my daughter. It's easy!
Heck, she even taught it to her friend earlier this morning and they were performing this afternoon on their friends. The technique is pretty simple and straightforward.
Harlan's Speakeasy is more complex and the end result is more, for lack of a better term, impressive. You can reveal much more than a card e.g colors, dates, names, signage... ;-)
But, for the right audience, each plays very well.
