Sorted Affair

Must the entire deck be used for the effect? Or (hopefully), you can set up packets of 3 or 4 red cards and 3 or 4 black cards from each deck of gimmicked cards....thereby extending the deck to 6 or more packets of cards.

@Turk?
I think that you've been fooled regarding what "Sorted Affair" really is.
@MagicYoda's 5 line comment, although short on words, says a lot about the trick.
No, you do not get 6 sets of oil/water packets.
However, they (oil/water) are one of the easiest card packets to make. Why not make your own?
Just thinking out loud.

Without saying too much in a public forum.
Understand "Oil and Water".
Understand "Stripper Deck".
You've got "Sorted Affair".
Tada...

I have had this trick for years now. It was an Elmwood publication with written instructions. You could do the oil and water effect with just the 8 card packet as a packet trick. But the big finale is what makes this one so good. The whole deck sorts itself out. Easy to do. I highly recommend it.

Thanks everyone for the great answers. Your responses put my concerns at rest and has now really sparked my interest in Sorted Affair. Sorted Affair seems to be just the type of trick I like to do.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to respond to my questions. It is much appreciated.

I guess my first question was not clear. Sorry. What I'm asking is: Is the deck made up of all gimmicked/gaffed sufficient that you can get six sets of cards (made up of 4 red and 4 black cards) so that the effect can be presented by taking one set of these cards out of a deck of cards made up of 44 regular cards and the 8-card packet. In other words, with such a deck of gimmicked cards, you can have 6 sets of these cards.

A similar analogy might be using only one DF card (from a deck of 52 DF cards) mixed in with a regular deck of cards.

I'd be more inclined to purchase this deck if I could get 6 sets of oil/water cards out of it instead of just one set.

Sorry for the confusion.

You dont have to use the entire deck. You can use just a pack of cards, or a full deck, or even half the deck if you want
