I've not seen this vid yet. Are you saying the instructional video is, well, crappy?
Most are very good, but, I certainly remember a few 'dogs' out there.

Yes, it is a good effect, one I'll use. It is cheap, and after watching the trailer for the first time, I had an immediate idea how I would do it, but later on, I was curious if I had the right idea, and figured for the price, it would be worth buying just to see if I was right. By accident, perhaps, I WAS right, but the rest of the information on various things in performance, it was still very simple and worth it to find out the rest of the information.

Well, since I could at least understand MOST of what he said, and going by THAT, I could understand the parts of the video which were too black to actually see. It is a little dog, not a major one. All of the videos from Penguin are filmed "in the dark" instead in the light. Thanks for your answer.
