What is the difference between a gaff and a prop?

Gaff - to fix for the purpose of cheating. - He used gaff dice to win."

Prop - a small object such as a book, weapon etc, used by actors in a play or film. - "Anna looks after costumes and props."

"Gaff" is usually applied to cards and "Prop" is applied to stage.
