If you read the review you think they can actually think of any two digit number and work from
there. Sounds like an awesome trick, no? WRONG!
They have to also add the two digits
together and subtract that from the original number. Before I was a magician I figured that trick
out. I've watched other professional magicians do it and have people go "Wait, I just... (you know
what goes here)"
If I had known that would be required there would be a zero percent chance
I would have spent five cents on this. I wrote an email complaining to Sankey about this (I bought
it from Sankey, not penguin) and he wasn't very nice in his response.
You aren't the first person to say he's rude. But, yes, he can say anything he wants, but this description is VERY misleading.
Thanks for the blunt review. I was waffling on purchasing this from "a well known online auction site," as it's out of stock with Penguin. But it sounded too good to be true. I appreciate your honest analysis.
That being said, I am a big fan of Jay Sankey. A lot of his stuff is brilliant, and his "In A Flash" is my #1 all time favorite. His manic performing style isn't mine, though I've been able to adapt A LOT of his ideas over the years. But this doesn't look like one of them.
