Two guys talking to each other for 39 minutes. No trick is being taught, they're just talking about
the book and giving some general advice.
Yes this is true. If you read the description under the video link instead of reveling on the fact that it is free. They state that every friday they will release a new lesson. The interview that you saw was merely the bonus.
The anonymous guy above, mught not have realized that the lesson 1 and 2 in the Tarbell course are about the history of magic and that what it is in these two, just to give a taste of the future releases.
You guys really need to start reading. If you read what was written, then you wouldn't comment on this, but rather appreciate what Penguin is offering you!

Ps. Are you related to any one at PENGUIN ?? and do you even own the TARBEL course ?? Can you read ?
Just to clarify, as mentioned, Shawn and I are discussing LESSONS 1 & 2 from Volume 1. These first two LESSONS do not contain any tricks. I will be teaching ALL of the LESSONS from all of the volumes. However, I did not want to leave out those lessons which did not contain tricks, so I convinced the fine people here at Penguin to include them FOR FREE. This is precisely the information that Harlan Tarbell chose to open Volume 1. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Paging Denny Haney! Paging Denny Haney! Wannabes and slackers at 3 o'clock! Paging Denny Haney!
Don't worry about it Dan, most people only care about tricks and completely ignore psychology, history, theory, etc.... I thought they were great even though I already knew a lot of it. It's a bit of a stretch to call it a misunderstanding when they didn't even bother to read the title. I personally would've paid 10 dollars for this and if they don't like it or won't get the course because of it... It's their loss. If they don't want to become good magicians it's their choice. But anyone who does will immediately see the value in this.
@mormonyoyoman - Truly LOL for anyone who's had the pleasure of talking with Denny for more than five minutes.
For those that "completely ignore psychology, history, theory, etc.", this video actually addresses them at the 2:16 mark which addresses "the difference between a person who's a magician and a person who does tricks".
