I came across this effect purely by chance and I'm very pleased that I did. I'm always looking for effects that are strong simple and visual and that can capture the imagination of a modern audience. This routine ticks all the boxes.
The routine is clever and the script leaves enough room to add your own personality . What you see in the promo is exactly what you get. I've only given it 4 stars because I haven't road tested I yet. But I'm really happy with my purchase and once I road test, I may comeback and give it an updated review :)

How can you say that what you see in the promo is exactly what you get when they don't teach the reveal which is shown on the promo?

Hey barts185 (Joshua Jordan here)

E-mail me if you have any questions regarding the effect, I'd be happy to answer or talk you through anything you might be confused over.

I do show in the video how to reveal it like in the promo. I gave several ideas (including the way I do it in the promo) of how you could reveal it. Although in addition I say that you don't have to do it the way I do it. I then give ideas on how to make the reveal even bigger. "For example you can have a Mr. Potato Head spray painted on a king size sheet that drops down… etc." I was merely saying that you don't have to reveal it the same way I do ( Although you're certainly welcome to). All you would do it put a second physical Mr. Potato Head figure under a box like in the promo video.

I addressed this in the video for the reason that if the performer didn't want to go out and buy a second Mr. Potato Head (like I have in the video) they don't have to. I was giving cheaper/ free options. Let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to answer them through e-mail. Thanks

Joshua,

Thanks for the reply. I feel like I should apologize. I have not purchased this trick yet, although after seeing your replies here and on The Cafe, I'm more likely to purchase it. I was interested, but then saw several reviews which stated what I said about the trailer. I normally wouldn't react to one review, but when I saw several which all agreed that you didn't teach what is shown it the promo, I took their word.

This looks like a very fun effect, and is on my to purchase list.

Take Care,
Bart
