You must switch it, but Dan Harlan has shared a switch that is well covered and pretty slick. I have done pen thru bill for years and feel very comfortable with the clean-up. I'm intrigued buy this sharpie and will rate it after some practice and a few performances.

The sharpie is very, very well made and it looks extremely normal. Nobody will even consider the thought that the sharpie is gimmicked. The bill will be the only thing under suspicion, and that is fully examinable.

Can the Sharpie be examined? Are you serious? So you think this is REAL magic where the gimmicks do all the work, and then can be handed out and magically are normal again? Come on man, don't ask stupid questions that lazy beginners ask unless that is what you are. Not every thing needs to be examined if you are a "competent" performer. But if you are a "mediocre" performer who feels the need to hand out every thing and make what is supposed to be magic into a "puzzle" and waste a tremendous amount of time unnecessarily, and insult your audience's intelligence by challenging them to solve a puzzle, then I guess the question would be valid. Or you may just have been fried and are on a "phishing" trip. I would sale a combination of both. Your audiences are not detectives or doctors, they do not want to examine every thing if you are a competent performer they will trust you anyway, but if your skills and presentation are lacking them of course their attention is going to be on the "prop" which is what you do not want. Don't turn magic into puzzle solving, because in the end every one loses including you.
