As David says, he is not an inventor of tricks, but he knows how to take what others have invented and make it his own. He knows how to make his audience feel connected to him and want to watch his show.

I will also attest to David's statement - his routine using a change bag did make Jon Racherbaumer want to go out and buy a change bag himself. Who would have thought a spectator could feel the magic happening inside of a change bag?
