The way the trick is demonstrated, and the way the trick is actually performed are two different
things. If I saw the way the trick is performed in its entirety, I would not have bought it.
Sorry to hear this. It is a difficult balance us creators have to find when it comes to trailers.
We have to use the trailer to sell the effect not give away the method.
With self working tricks it's even harder as a self working trick is usually procedural and for the most part easily reverse engineered.
The Devil Eight My Card however, is still a fantastic, impromptu, easy, self working card trick that really is worth learning and performing the next time says "Go on then, here's some cards, show us a trick".
The next time *someone* says ...
Yes you are so right 😫
I completely agree with the original comment...
"The way the trick is demonstrated, and the way the trick is actually performed are two different things. If I saw the way the trick is performed in its entirety, I would not have bought it."
What was shown on the demo left out so much. What is the point of having a demo video like that other than to trick people into buying a product? Bad business in my humble opinion.
Sorry there is one more thing I need to get off my chest. In the trailer, it mentions 99% self-working. There is something you need to do that is far from self-working. When you put out a trailer saying 99% self-working, it is very misleading. Of course I won't say what you have to do in order to protect the secret. To put it bluntly, the trailer makes the trick sound and look very different from what the performer actually has to do. Sorry!
The point of a demo video is to show the main effect not reveal the method. With self working tricks it is very easy for the trick to be reverse engineered.
Yes there is one 'something' you need to do that isn't self working. Hence the reason in the trailer it says 99% self-working NOT 100% self-working.
