One of the first books on magic I ever owned. Recommended to me by Dan Paulus when he worked at Day Dreams. That was a while ago. At any rate this is a great book and not always easy to find. There is so much great stuff in this book and I am not just talking about tricks. There is a lot of information on psychology and the bussniness of magic and getting more $$ for your magic. I particularly like the essays on performance and preparing for competition. This is a must have book. Ammar is one of the best teachers and has put out a pile of material to the magic world. This is in my opinion his best book and given that he studied under Vernon you can not go wrong buying this book. Can't say enough about this book. Would be lost without it.

This is one of the first books I ever got as a young magician, and the book has benefitted me greatly. This one is definitely worth a purchase.

Like many great magic books, it's a virtual grab bag of effects that Michael Ammar does. It's well written, well-illustrated, and has a good mix of difficult and easier things to perform (great for re-readability over the years). Beware that Ammar is a technician, and many of the effects contained here are not the easiest things to do. He will make you work!

I really enjoy the opening pages of this book as far as theory and presentation are concerned. It's a good read.

I definitely recommend this book.
