A great effect but sort of lacking in that there are many small technical issues to overcome. The
handling will take time to adjust to, and it happens frequently. I think this effect could have been
better detailed on how to over come some of the small issues people will encounter. Such as removing
some of the cards from deck to make the gimmick move smoother, correct placement of thumb when
having issues with covering holes and sliding gimmick. Detail on how to overcome gimmick sticking or
titling when being moved. I have been playing with this trick to try and figure out how to do this
effect smoothly and with 100 per cent problem free. I am getting better and finding it takes a while
to finally have success.

Yes, it's knacky. Yes, I had to modify the gimmick JUST A LITTLE BIT (that's why I gave it 4 stars).
Yes, it took more practice than some things, but certainly not others. Is it worth it, though? YES!
This trick is incredible! It's also fairly easy, once you get it down. I'd say some of my favorite
recent releases took more time to learn and perfect. Laced Up, Liquify, Repo. They're all
technically harder to get right, and I do them all the time. This isn't as hard and gets reactions
as big as those or anything else that's amazing (that's why I gave it 4 stars). It's truly a
shocking magical moment. It's also fun to do once you get it down, like any trick really. I saw how
powerful this effect was in the trailer, so I didn't give up on it because it needed some work and I
was handsomely rewarded. It's now going to be something I do until I die.

Roddy and Noel have done it again. This looks great, is easy to do, is a fooler and it's all
examinable. What more do any of us want in a trick?

My wife noticed the holes or that something was up, granted she's used to me playing tricks on her.
Probably better with drunks in a bar.
The gimmick works good for the first reveal, but mine
is janky with the other two, wants to do both at once. I'm almost thinking of modifying the routine
to reveal two holes at once.
I think the hole reveals and gimmick could be nailed down
solid so it happens in more definitive steps so the magician can be more confident.
I love
Roddys ideas, it's just the construction has to be spot on perfect for them to look good enough. I
had the same issue with Little Door, some didn't notice, others were like whats up with the box?
Basically it just never goes as smooth as the video shows, except for Lucid, nothing but
praise for that. Everyone loves that trick and nobody gets it.
So yeah if you can nail
down the reveal in better steps you can feel, I would give this a 5. For mine anyway it's just very
hard to separate those last 2 holes being revealed. I've tried adding an subtracting cards too in
order to make it more tight or loose.
Thanks!
M.

I'd ignore the other fussy reviews...I have a collection of pretty much the best magic you can
have/perform and this ranks up at the top of most insanely visual and beautifully thought-out moving
hole plots with card/cardbox... the ending is a super twist and will definitely baffle most people
when performed properly. I agree with some other reviewers that the gimmick itself is somewhat
"knacky" at first(as magicians we should be kind of use to this sort of thing lol) but out of alot
of gimmicks I have used this is overall very methodical and simple to bring out of play to clean up
once the effect is accomplished. You can end very clean/examinable. I think this is a brilliant
effect. If your any good at routining or pocket management this could easily be brought in and out
of your working routine to change things up from card magic.

Another great trick by Roddy McGhie. I now own 3 tricks by R.M. ALL involve a card box and a
sharpie. Also own Chop by Craig Petty, which uses a sharpie! I would rate this trick at close to
100% for easy to do & amazing spectators reaction. A real gem of a trick with reference to the
classic coin matrix. I liked the alternate handling of the black dots being on a bicycle card rather
than the solid black card.
So the gimmick is poorly made. When showing my wife she quickly spotted issues. You cant show people
the box before preforming And I'm not even saying you can't hand out for someone to look at prehand
if anyone knows what a box looks like will quickly catch this. so it's not good for close up.
Unless you pull the deck out and hey wanna see a trick and don't let anyone see anything. Witch part
of the trick is showing them what your doing.

I ordered this and I don't have the actual product as of yet. However, the tutorial gives you
everything you need to know about how amazing this effect can truly be. I knew instantly that this
illusion is going to shock spectators and I cannot wait to try it out. Highly recommend!
