Pretty legit magazine. Perfect for any serious magician. This issue was included as a FREE xmas promo. I'd probably even subscribe if I got a good deal off the cover price of $56 a year. It's pretty thick with advertising, which I though was totally legit cause its like a shopping catalog of new stuff kinda, plus a magazine with informative magic articles & trick tips. The content seemed pretty broad so all magicians will get a kick out of it. I'd add it to my cart for free any day.

Since this was a promo and given to me free of charge, I have a few brief things to say (to keep my review nice and short/direct and to the point). This magazine teaches various sleights, gives plenty of great magic products that you can buy and it even has quite a bit of background information on magic and as well as other people's performance ideas and their stories about performing magic! To me, this information is priceless! You can learn from the mistakes of others that are willing to share and admit their own mistakes; hence they are giving you tips and valuable advice to help other fellow magicians! I highly recommend that you get this or at least the PDF version. (Reviewed this a bit late down the road as I've already had this since December LOL).

I wish Penguin just gave me the pdf instead of this book. :)

It's a nice trip through the years and the ideas and routines that went on throughout them.

The touch-and-go gaff shouldn't have been printed with text behind it, but it's something you can make on your own. Mickey's tri-cut remonded me of Nestor Hato's butterfly. The expanded card by Bro. John Hamman could be used for Jay Sankey's Bigger Finish routine (or 10 by PH/JS). A Novel Card Discovery by Mathew Corin seems something Eugene Burger would do. There are a lot more of ideas here and the scope is pretty wide too.

The gem for me was the Anti-Faro by Christian Engblom; I wasn't it expecting it, but it's there (second to last).

Thank you Penguin and Genii. Happy Holidays!
