At first I overlooked this DVD, because I didn't recognize the company but after all the buzz on the Cafe and after watching the Wizard Magic Review I HAD TO GET IT....and I'm glad I did. The dvd included things from magician foolers to great walk around material!! Looking forward to see more from System 6 Magic :)

I wish all DVD's had such a wonderful material (and such a great teacher too!) Most important is that the material is very useful. This is for the working pro, but also to have so much fun as a hobbyist. Magic that you can do in almost any occasion. Demonstrations that you WILL use.

To the point and no long lasting explanations. AND very easy to do, while it makes you look like a professional card genius, or super mentalist.

I do mentalism only, but I have to admit, I will also use some of the non-mentalism effects (they are just too damn good) and I really love the simplicity of the effects! Especial because it’s looks so amazing but it’s still easy to follow. In fact is easy to do, and easy to remember. I love simple effects with high impact.

All effects on this DVD are worth the price of the DVD, so if you would only use one, you have a great deal.

Just buy it!

Before talking about the content of the 6 by Six DVD , I would just like to briefly comment on the content of Michael's character:

He has a a very loving and giving heart. He Pours himself out to very underprivileged and impoverished children on mission fields at times, and all the comments I read about him from others, including comments from some of the great magicians, almost always mention his decency.

I am not close to Michael, I just know these things about him. If I were close to him I imagine I would be praising who he is as a person even more than I am.

Sometimes you buy from a friend just because he's a friend but with Michael there's no need to default to that reason for buying. He is a creative creator of magic, fun to watch on DVD, and will do nothing but lift people to higher levels of skill and wonder.

Other reviewers can probably give better point by point break downs of the feasibility and power of the illusions than I am able to do, in a manner that does justice to them, because I have so little card magic to compare to as a beginner.

I know Oz’s Renegade Triumph, (love it), Double Back (love it but keep forgetting how to do it as simple as it is) and…well…ok I’m spent. If it’s cards and it ain’t a gimmick: I’m toast.

When it comes to sleight of hand: My DLs tend to be Double Let Downs. My Mercury F***ds are more like Mercury Mutilations :)

I will just say I am really happy I own 6 by Six. It is making me leave the all-gimmick nest and learn how to fly a bit.

For me he was easy to follow and I am normally slow to learn. Picture Homer Simpson tryig to learn magic--that's me...DOH! :)

I have to be honest about his offering from a beginner's perspective: Some of "6 by Six" is a bit of a struggle for me because I have to teach my hands to do "magician-y" things they aren’t' accustomed to.

But the magic is so very good it makes you want to keep trying until you master it.

Come to think of it, isn't that the desire great teachers always place in our hearts?: To strive to become better?

Once I've mastered Michael's illusions I will definitely be a better magician...might even tell David Blane: "Move over hombre, there's a NEW Sherriff in town!"

3 effects use sleights, 3 don't but these aren't just any old tricks (well they are) these are fresh new handlings of some great tricks. Nothing really difficult here and Michael's teaching is very good as is the video quality. If you want a few new card effects (Fool me once is worth the price in my opinion as well as No Stopping Me) to put into your act, look no further. In addition there is a 35 minute download which I had to PM Michael for. Apparently there were suppose to be instructions on how to obtain it but somehow it fell thru the cracks. No problem he PM'd me on the Cafe the next day!!! I still have to take a look at that, but am sure it will be good! This is good, so put it into your cart, definitely worth the money!

I enjoy that this disc has tricks of varying difficulty level and complexity. It has a few tricks that will certainly freshen up my routine, after lots of practice. Some of the sleights (which are popular to many) are raced through. My only suggestion would be an appendix chapter where the sleights are taught in better detail. Some people have gaps in their magic education, an appendix such as this could certainly make each effect on this disc ascertainable to every level of magician.

I think the magic is great, I saw Six at F.F.F.F and told him he had a negative review, he said thats fine we are all entitled to share our opinion. Pretty humbling.

He read the review expressed that his goal wasnt to make a beginners dvd. It is an Intermediate to advanced project and teaching moves that 1) most perform and 2) not his to teac, wouldnt be right. Makes sense...

He actually seemed sad someone didnt like it..he also mentioned people complained about his other dvd going to much into detail...seems like a catch 22...Anyone his material is solid and he knocked it out the park in his performance.

I am not commenting on his expertese as a performer nor his material as i only looked at the first two and put it away possibly never to be played again. HE IS NOT A TEACHER AND IF HE INTENDS TO DO OTHER TEACHING DVDs THEN MAYBE GET SOMEONE EXPERIENCED TO DO THE EXPLANATIONS. He just races through the explanations as if he hasn't got another minute to live, not good enough. I have other DVDs to spend my valuable time on than this one I HAVE WASTED MY MONEY ON THIS
I might add that I am a trained teacher and was teaching my branch of engineering at Sydney Technical college for quite some time. Maybe he should talk to somebody like Harry Lorayne and others who know how to impart their knowledge
