"Some of the best card work I've ever seen; absolutely mesmerising, bewildering and above all inspiring." - Daniel Madison

"Joseph barry is an exciting new talent on the card scene, combining original moves and bold methods with an insight into how lay people really think. You never know quite what to expect and you will be fooled." - Justin Higham

"I met Joseph Barry at The Session convention. He blew me away with his card magic. All his effects are direct, simple and clear. It was a wicked pleasure for me to introduce him to different magicians over the weekend and stand back and watch their faces as Joe went to work, fooling them badly, again and again with simple and direct effects. Erdnase himself would be proud as there is simply nothing to suspect, let alone detect during his performance." - Quentin Reynolds

"Joe where have you been hiding!?! Your new DVD is stellar! If you want pure hard hitting magic then this is it. A great blend of cards and mentalism which I love." - Ryan Schlutz

I definitely appreciate anything J.Barry shares with the community, and when I saw the "memory at the card table"trailer I went for it.
The method is nice and it could have tons of different applications.
Still, I wish J.B. Had spent more time giving details about it. For example he could have covered much more thoroughly different case scenarios one might fond themselves in when executing the technique, which is mainly what I guess this tutorial lacked.
The effect itself is OK.

Pros:
I saw Joseph Barry perform this and other card routines at the Magic Castle. Everything he did was astounding and breathtaking. I've never been as amazed by any other magician.

I bought this video with with some trepidation, fearing that it would be filled with moves that would be highly technical, bold, and timing dependent. I needn't have worried. The effect is the result of Joseph Barry's extreme ingenuity rather than of his undisputed mastery of card manipulation. In short, the Memory at the Card Table routine is, given its miraculous appearance, surprisingly easy to learn and perform.

Please don't mistake me. This performance is by no means self-working. A small amount of memorization is required--nothing really challenging--and you need to be able to think on your feet. The performance is a bit dynamic. If you don't like to improvise, this may not be for you, but honestly, it's not that bad. Any hesitation you may show while making on-the-fly adaptations is covered by the appearance that you're going slowly because you're "memorizing" the deck.

Cons:
The teaching is not the greatest, but it's adequate. The lesson, mirroring Joseph Barry's mind no doubt, moves along very quickly and you may have to replay sections a few times to catch up; but it's manageable. Other than that i can think of nothing to complain about.

A clever effect, but a few details are missing. Just saying, "think on your feet" with regard to the final poker hand is not very informative. My current impression is that this is not always going to be a killer hand either, depending upon . . . things that would give the secrets away. So you may have to settle for 3 of a kind, or even two pairs.

Learnt it within 20 minutes.
Needs some practice to avoid mistakes, I'd say about 3 hours for me.
Some audiences see a magician with a card deck and expect a mechanic,
so their reactions aren't through-the-roof.
Will fry some audiences.
