I received this today as a bonus item. First, I have to say that I am very happy with all of the items I purchased, except this item. It simply does not work. The quality of the box is low and the die will simply not do what it is supposed to do. I would steer clear of this! Otherwise, my Penguin experience has been great so far!

I'm afraid I have to agree with the rest of the reviews. This product is not worth it. I am trying to put together a first class close-up act and most of the tricks I have bought so far are all high grade quality and illusions. This thing is so cheap looking. The plexi window on mine is scratched. The gimmick while small is also obtrusive. I would return it if I hadn't gotten for free. As it is, I won't be adding this to my repetoire.

It's not very practical. This is one just to have sitting around and let people ask about. Other than that...I wouldn't pay for it.

Awkward, unreliable and poorly designed. Penguin shouldn't even sell things of this low quality.

I got mine through the auction and wasn't terribly unhappy with my purchase. The cheap price I paid was satisfying to me. The prop isn't extremely impressive. Balsa wood and a small plastic window. Very small in size too. The die is smaller than the standard die, and the box is only a little bigger. Its definitely a fun puzzle and nobody can figure it out without the secret. I didn't think mine worked for the first few days but I eventually figured out the proper technique and I can do it almost every time now (Doesn't mean I will). It will get scratched a bit probably but that's okay. It just looks old. I don't really recommend it.

I just received this and it works ok. Not the most amazing trick Penguin carries but it can keep a spectator busy for about 30 seconds.
