This is my favorite marked deck, because the marks are very subtle, and you can read them from a spread, unlike other marking systems where you need to see the middle of the card. No one looking at the back of a card will ever see the markings... I'm not sure if the deck can withstand riffle scrutiny, but since the marks are near the edge, there's a better chance they will, since most people will be looking elsewhere.

The only negative comment I can make relates to its strength: because the marks are so subtle, you may have some trouble making them out yourself at first. However, the more you work with it, the easier it gets.

I would also recommend buying some of Boris Wild's marked deck routines, either in book form, or in his DVD set. You can perform some true miracles with a marked deck, but you can also perform some absolutely terrible effects if your peeks and reveals are too amateurish.

This deck is amazing. The pros immensely outweigh the cons for this deck.

Reading the cards will take practice. I'm still working on being able to read them from a few feet. That's the ONLY thing I don't like about this deck. It's not easy to read them when they're farther than like 2 feet(for me at least.)

So obviously, the markings are extremely well hidden. You won't find them until you read how the system works and know what you're looking for. There are a few that stand out from the others, but not by a lot.

But after knowing what you're looking for, memorizing the system, and a few minutes of practice, you'll be reading each card in seconds if you're holding it in mechanics grip or the cards are spread on a table or whatever.

Highly recommend this deck. With practice and the right routine, this deck will KILL. TONS of effects possible. Super fun to make up your own tricks.

I have the Boris Wild marked deck, the Ultimate Marked Deck, and the Penguin Marked Deck.
The Penguin deck beats the other two. My next choice is the Ultimate.
The Boris Wild Marked deck is hard to read. It involves searching for the mark. Nice idea for having one mark indicating both value and suit, but it involves doing a search. I want to know one place to look and, with mediocre eyesight, see the mark.
Penguins deck is the easiest of the three to read and much less expensive!

I guess all marked deck has flaws.
Boris Wilde Deck is one of them that has less. So I will just list all the flaws that I find
1) I gave it to my sister, and she saw through it in ~7 minutes.
2)I find reading the card quite difficult (which also ironically means its well hidden), so I guess I need more practice.
3)Although finding a card is relativity easily than other marked decks, discerning a card given to is more difficult. 4)Finally, the face cards marking seems rather terrible to me, so I just use 1 to 10.

This is a great marked deck and unlike other non Bicycle decks that have been around for a long time this does not look like anything gaffed or marked. The DVD that you can get for the marked deck is a valuable add on to this deck and yes if you use it a lot you will need to replace it sooner or later. Show me a deck of cards that you don't. By that point the deck should have paid for itself anyway. This is a great deck and once you know the secret it is a snap to use and the effects are endless with it. If you ever get to see Boris Wild perform especially with this deck you will truely see the value and power of this deck of cards. Add to cart ASAP.

This is by far the most easy to follow and subtle marked deck I have ever come across. You can literally creat miracles with this deck. I always perform Mental Though on Benjamin Earl's DVD Past Midnight. This deck always fools spectators and because the deck is familiar with the spectator though don't have a reason to see the deck.

If you're wanting to get into the marked deck side of effects, this is a great one to start with. You can literally learn to correctly call every card every time within five minutes. The markings are clear and the system is easy to memorize. Unfortunately, anyone looking at the back of the cards (especially a court card) will be able to catch the marks within 30 seconds. They may not be able to tell exactly how you know the suits of the cards, but they will easily figure out the numbering system. If you keep the deck moving, or if you do a deck switch so they never get to study it, this is a great deck. It's a standard Bicycle deck in every other way. The jokers are not marked, so you can hand them out for examination all day long, and that will probably satisfy many spectators, but not all. So if you're careful, you can make this work. But if you're thinking of taking this pro or on the street (you know folks always want to examine cards when possible), you're better off spending a little more for a different deck. It'll take longer to learn, but it'll be worth the effort.

Yes, these are Bicyle cards. Yes, the marks are easy to read. No, it is not likely anyone will suspect you of using a marked deck or will see the markings. Yes, this is a very good marked deck of cards.

Nontheless, it is still a deck of cards. This means that it's going to wear out if you use it regularly. Then you'll have to buy another one. At 19.95 a pop, these decks aren't cheap (you could by 8 decks of regular cards from penguinmagic for the same price). Take that into consideration before buying.

This is a great deck for beginners and experienced magicians alike. Every now and then it's nice to put the slight of hand away for a while and let the deck do all the work for you. It is well made and very difficult to detect. No more forcing cards once you've got this. The best part about this is that it can also act as your normal deck so you don't have to worry about switching. It's also great to have while practicing your classic force.

I have well over a dozen different marked cards, some I've even made myself. I keep coming back to this one. It's easy to use and I've never been burnt.
