The effect is as simple as this:

A pen lies across two folded cards.

One of the cards is removed and the pen remains impossibly balanced.

The second card is removed and the pen remains floating in midair!

But there´s still more. When your audience believes that there has to be threads supporting it, you can run a solid ring over the pen and it will continue floating! They won't believe it. It will blow their minds!

I own defiance by Mariano Goni , he teaches a floating cigarette , before purchasing it I thought that's same method, but I was definitely wrong, I was fooled because this performance looks different than Mariano did, & i wanted to know some more about it , so I did purchase it, and mariano uses some more other gimmicks than this one.
He just well explained everything you need to know in about less than 16 minutes including instructions, one thing he did forget to mention , & it's lighting , you could experience to beware of what you need to beware from , without any problems.
If you're professional buy this , if you're amateur or layman you won't understand how to use it , because this needs someone with some knowledge for using these Gimmicks with no fear .
It's good for social media , and real live performance , it's good for opener, & he's teaching about three different handling for each performance.

Well first of all, really? :(

It's clever but the description said "ordinary Objects". No, you do need a few special objects.

Second, perform Live: Well can't do walk around or parlor show unless you are able to setup. And doesn't look practical for a parlor show where people move around unless, like he says in instructions, 'first trick in show'.

For 5 bucks, ok worth it though. It's interesting to see how his mind thinks and the video is very instructive.

I think the description to the trick should be altered to indicate this requires easily found objects at home and Penguin.
And that it is not good for walk around or impromptu. It really very specialized for On-Line and Parlor.

I love levitations and this one is one of the greatest I ve ever seen. So clean, so powerful! The tutorial explains every detail and you will learn a lot of Rodrigo's thinking learning this one. Its really amazing!

What I like about this effect is it's simplicity. Using the two chairs and leaving the ring on the pen to fall off, after decapping the pen, is perfect.
Performed it last night with much success.
Congrats Rodrigo . Very well explained and demonstrated.

Better hookups out there for in person and virtual performance. Demo video is not the in person version taught.

This is what I thought it would be. No surprise. But, the method is well described and trying to guess the best way to do it does not worth the work. Buy it and enjoy! I have to say that I don't like the actual "live" method for many reasons, but it is just me. I think it would work great also. I had some sound synchro problem with the video, but it's not a deal breaker. For that price, it worth it big time!

The idea is really good, but the setup needed is not. This is not as I had hoped for a pocket sized illusion to bring to a show and preform anywhere. So sorry to say... for me this was waste of money.

First off if you work with thread you should already know how this works. This would be no great surprise on a new or exclusive technique. Having said that, I did like the thinking that went behind the presentation on this item. At it's current pricing (4.95 at the time of writing) this becomes a really good deal and well worth 4 stars. (based on price) However, the normal pricing of 9.99 maybe a bit much for a new thinking. Still worth the download but, maybe a 3 star rating. (just my take on it)

This is the first time I’ve written a bad review. But, I was compelled to do so because I felt so conned by the video promoting this effect; it’s deceptive beyond description. The camera close-up disguises what the audience (close-up or otherwise) sees out of frame. A complete waste of money and a rare miss from Penguin Magic. Very irritating.

I just bought it and am very pleased with this purchase. I had no idea how he was able to pass a ring around the pen. The solution is brilliant and even if someone reasons there must be something invisible holding it up, they will be fooled, as I was. Great job, Rodrigo!
