Three outstanding torn & restored card routines! If you ever wanted to do a torn and restored card routine with a one-piece-at-a-time restoration, this video will teach you Yves' creative new methods. Yves performs and teaches three outstanding routines. They are clever, relatively easy to perform and the visual restorations look completely impossible.

Yves Doumergue has stunned many knowledgeable magicians with his Ripped & Restored card. If you ever wanted to do a torn and restored card routine with a one piece at a time restoration, this video will teach you Yves’ creative new methods which have been embraced by many professional magicians. Yves performs and teaches three outstanding routines. They are clever, relatively easy to perform and the visual restorations look completely impossible.

Routines performed and explained:

  • Ripped & Restored: An outstanding new handling for the torn and restored card. A freely selected and signed card is torn into four pieces. The four pieces are visibly fused together one piece at a time until the entire signed card is restored. Everything is examinable and the restored card can be given as a souvenir.
  • Puzzle Card: A freely selected and signed picture card is torn into four pieces and restored in the strangest way. After two of the pieces are fused together you magically restore the card in a ‘mismade’ condition where two of the corners are in the wrong places. Instantly and visually the card is restored in its entirety.
  • Blended: A variation of Ripped & Restored where all four corners of the card are signed prior to the tearing. The restoration is made by making each of the signed pieces fuse together until the entire card is fully restored.

Includes in-studio and live performances by Yves Doumergue. Everything is fully explained. Hosted by Laurent Beretta.

Running time: Approximagely 40 minutes.

So similar to torn Report this review

This trick is so similar to torn. This is like an exact copy of it, as Daniel Garcia's version is a lot more effective and more real.

Mr. magi, I don't know why you don't like this, I'm only 13 and thought it would be really bad but it was great. I had already purchased another torn and restored card before hand but it was... well... lets just say bad. I watched how to do this effect and was pleased with it, It does not take any dodgy gimmick and the card is FULLY examinable. If you have the patience to just sit down and PRACTICE a lot, you could soon have it as good as Yves himself. Also, think about it, you say it is easy to figure out eh? Then can YOU say that you could watch the demo video and tell how it was done. This is not meant to cause any offence, just to question why you hate it so much, I thought it was good. It is a bit angle sensative but not more so than any other T AND R routine. And "puzzle card" can be done right in front of the spectator.
I only just purchased this today from a magic shop in charring cross and only gave it four stars as, by the look of it, If you have not got the patience to just sit down and practice a trick day and night, this may not be the trick for you.
However this is a great effect, add to cart now, thanks again Penguin.

Torn but not clean Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on August 12th, 2006
This is almost Daniel Garcia's Torn... But it's not as clean and, in my opinion, not worth the money. If you have Torn, then you shouldn't need this.

Also, the DVD isn't as well done as Torn. I've tried both for people and Torn gets a better response, since it's a more open view of the card the whole time.

However... If you are as crazy as I am for different versions of tricks... Especially if you wabt to create your own, then get this.

Great but you need Practice, Practice and Practice Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on April 28th, 2005
1) Personally I needed a whole week of practice to get it perfect. Probably I am a dumb amataeur magician, so I do not agree that this trick is easy to master.

2) I dont really like the idea of asking the audience to sign just "half" of the card only rather than having a full signature.

3) I dont like the last piece of card not being shown to the audience clearly.

4) However, despite all of the above, and after getting practice and performing it in front of an audience, I got great feedback! Of course they all ask, where have the torn pieces gone?!!!

5) If you do the "Colour Fusion" effect after this one, then you'll create an even greater effect !!

AWESOME Handling!!! Report this review
Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on March 17th, 2004
I was fortunate enough to pick up this on video on an auction site. Being from Canada, things in the states are VERY pricey, so I bid and won it for a good price.

I was very pleased by what I saw on the video. While Yves' english is not perfect, I was able to understand him fine, and his interpreter just 'fine-tuned' things.

The video quality and sound and angle shots were just fine. Every angle is covered very well. No guessing about any moves.

This is the BEST handling for a Torn and Restored card I have personally played with, and I have played around with several; the most previous being Reparation, which I do not like at all. Ripped & Restored is just SO easy and goes SO smooth.

This routine looks SO close to Reformation, the Original Masterpiece, and that's what attracted me to it. Little did I know the handling would be so much easier, for an 'almost' identical illusion.

The only 'downfall', I don't like the 'final' restoration, but then again, I don't like the 'final' restore of most T& R card effects I've seen or played with. There just HAS to be a way to MORE MAGICALLY restore the final piece. Yves includes 2 other effects which are also fun, amazing and easy to do.

So, I love this effect, and love the easy handling. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5, just because of the final restore. It's almost perfect, but not quite. In the hands of a 'good entertainer' it is truly a masterpiece. Highly recommended!

Money badly spent! Report this review

This DVD is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY over-priced! It shows you three restorations and two of them are way easy to guess and get no reactions. The other one is great if you practice a lot. The DVD quality is ok... oh yea, except for the guy teaching it can hardly speak english! They should sell just one of these restorations on an instant download for much less. Listen to me and SERIOUSLY spend your money somewhere else. Born to Perform Card Magic is GREAT! So is Stealing Pips. I cannot believe this price matches the price of those other two DVDs. I was lucky and sold mine for less than half the price, and now the guy hates me for letting him buy it. Anyways, unless you want to be disappointed, don't purchase this DVD. Peace.

I have this and torched and restored, I think both of them are good. Torched and restored is easier to do, but this one looks really cool. Each piece healed back to a full restoration!! I recommend both of them for either pros or beginners, not that hard.

The effect is good but not that clean. I like the last routine where you make a "mistake." I was very disappointed by this DVD.

The video lacks a rehearsed and polished look and feel. It looks like this was the first time that they ran through teaching the routine.

If you want to a torn and restored card go with Daniel Garcia's Torn. Basically a cleaner version of this routine.
