I can understand why this is Ben's favorite ACAAN method; it requires his favorite sleight and handling with which he's extremely comfortable and proficient... but for anyone else, it will take an extraordinary amount of practice to be able to perform it smoothly and naturally. And honestly, I can't even say it's worth it, because the angles are very sensitive.

There are so many ways to perform ACAAN, there's absolutely no reason why this one should be your preferred method, unless, like Ben, you're in love with the sleight that is at the center of this method.

If I'm doing a Card at Any Number routine, it's generally going to be a close-up situation. Yes there is a utility sleight that is taught well in this tutorial, but all the practice in the world isn't going to make this ideal for close up (especially if performing for more than one person....though even for just one would be tough).
The angles are extremely limited and looking back at the demo (after purchasing), I see why the shot switches to a second camera angle at certain points. If the angles for this trick can't survive a single stationary camera shot, I don't see how it's to be performed for an actual close up audience. I honestly have to wonder if the positive reviews for this effect have actually tried this for an audience.

This trick has been around for a long time but the handling has changed over time. This handling is more convincing than other versions but it comes with a price. Practice. There are a few moves that you will have to practice in order to do this trick but the result is well worth it. It's best to practice in front of a mirror so that you get the angles right too. This effect has always gotten me great reactions when I've used in my routine. It's great because there is no force and the spectator can really chose any number. Just be sure to take some credit :)

This trick is a little angle sensitive, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. You're basically paying for the sleight used in this trick, which will open up the door for many other card tricks. I agree with the previous review that this is not for beginners. To make it look as smooth as Ben Seidman, it will definitely take some practice, even for the more experienced card handler. Overall, a good sleight to have in your repertoire.

A utility sleigth is explained very clearly in detail and can be used for others tricks also. I recommand it.

This is a great trick...if you practice practice practice. The concept is wonderful but it uses a very angle sensitive move. This is definately not for beginners. I would say this trick is good for about 3 people but no more than that. Once you get this trick down, it's pure awesome. You can even ask what their birthday is and their card is at that number from the top. Pretty cool. As a magician you might not be that satisfied with the method, but to the audience it is absoutely amazing which is all that matters. If you think you could use this trick then get it!
